After Michele Bachmann
announced earlier this year, that she would not seek re-election -– at the time,
I believed this lame duck idiot, would quickly fade into a state of obscurity –
that instead of hearing her psychotic ramblings about how deeply the Muslim Brotherhood, had penetrated our Government with the help of the Obama Administration,
that she would be spending a lot more time at home, deeply penetrating her gay-hating,
gay husband, Marcus, with her favorite strap-on -- one would think that anyone
being investigated for campaign violations, and
by at least a half-dozen
federal and state agencies, just might want to finish out their term quietly,
and just as far under the radar as possible? That is, anyone except this delusional
idiotic Christian and moron.
Three Tea Party-supported Republican lawmakers thanked the Egyptian military for both the July 3 overthrow of former President Mohammed Morsi and crackdowns on protesters in the chaotic weeks that followed in a video released Saturday.
The video, published Saturday, was apparently recorded a few hours after Reps. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Steve King (R-IA) and Louie Gohmert (R-TX) met with Egyptian military leader General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi over the weekend, according to the Washington Post.
“I want to assure the people of Egypt that I, as a member of Congress, will stand strong in support of continuing military support, United States support financially, to stand for the military in Egypt,” said Bachmann, who led the remarks. “We know that you have been a partner. You’ve been a partner in the war on terrorism. You’ve acted bravely here on the front lines.”
Bachmann went on to suggest that the Muslim Brotherhood, the party of the former Egyptian president, was responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks.
"We have seen the threat that the Muslim Brotherhood has posed, here, for the people of Egypt. We’ve seen the threat that the Muslim Brotherhood posed around the world," she continued. "We stand against this great evil. We remember who caused nine-one-one in America. We remember who it was that killed 3,000 brave Americans. We have not forgotten. We know that you have dealt with that enemy as well.”
I know it’s been 12 years since the attacks happened on September 11 2001, but wasn’t it al-Qaeda terrorists and Osama bin Laden that was blamed for the attacks – and not the “Muslim Brotherhood,” and isn’t Bachmann a member of The House Intelligence Committee?
Personally, I don’t believe any of these 3 clowns understand anything about current Middle Eastern religion/politics – and least of which understand the dynamics of the current situation going on in Egypt.
Bachmann, King and Gohmert have done nothing more than become a major embarrassment here in our own nation – I really don’t understand just what they were hoping to accomplish in Egypt?
Obama wants more young adults to go to college so they can undergo "indoctrination" to a secular world DALLAS, Texas - Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum said Thursday that President view.
In an hour-long interview with conservative television host Glenn Beck, Santorum also defended his record on abortion and his vote in favor of President George W. Bush's No Child Left Behind education law.
On the president's efforts to boost college attendance, Santorum said, "I understand why Barack Obama wants to send every kid to college, because of their indoctrination mills, absolutely ... The indoctrination that is going on at the university level is a harm to our country."
He claimed that "62 percent of kids who go into college with a faith commitment leave without it," but declined to cite a source for the figure. And he floated the idea of requiring universities that receive public funds have "intellectual diversity" on campus.
I am not sure just where Santorum is getting his "62 percent" figure from - but I totally agree that there are many students of higher learning, who do in fact leave their delusional religious beliefs behind them after graduation from intuitions of higher education. But the relevant question here is why?
Could the reasons that students of higher learning are leaving their religiously indoctrinated faiths behind them be because for the first time in their lives, they have discover that there are actually other people who hold different religious beliefs than their own or have no religious faith at all. Or could the reasons be, that they have learned the fact that the universe is not thousands of years old, but is in fact billions of years old; or could it be that they have learned the fact, that the universe and all life here on earth, was not created in 6 days, as they were indoctrinated to believe as young children -- when in reality, the real fact is that these processes have taken billions of years, and are still going on even today; or could it be the fact that through the modern science of biology, and the complete DNA mapping of both humans and the great apes, that we now have unquestionable evidence, that both humans and the great apes, both evolved from a common ancestor, and that humans were not instantly created out of mud and a bone, and by, and in the image of some "god," as they had been indoctrinated to believe?
Yes indeed, when most Christian students, realize that the foundation from which they had based their religious faith upon, was in fact, all just a big heap of delusional bullshit, most often than not, they will in fact abandon their religious faith.
And here in another speech, Rick Santorum said: "President Obama once said he wants everyone in America to go to college ...what a snob." And then still on this "liberal college indoctrination" theme, Santorum claims: "Obama wants to remake you in his own image" (just look at the crowd that Santorum's pitching this ignorant and racist rhetoric to and how they respond). The one thing that Rick Sanitarium has failed to mention, is that he is also a product of these same "liberal public colleges of indoctrination" (but I guess he's one of the other "38" percent, that has managed to hold onto their religious superstition, religious stupidity and religious ignorance).
The fact is that Santorum would like to defund all forms of public education, and then let the parents decide what they want to teach their own children. And he really means this - he and his wife are homeschooling their own children.
I never thought that I would see the day, when the idea of having our nation filled with uneducated and ignorant people, would be seen as such a good thing within the base of any political party. The base of the Republican Party has devolved into a cesspool of far-right Christian ignorance, stupidity and insanity - and this insanity seems to be playing real well to these uneducated anti-intellectual Christian-bottom-feeders (call me a "snob," its OK!).
My only question is does Rick 'Sanitarium' really believe that playing this insane mix of Christian ideology, will win him the Presidency? I sure hope he wins the GOP nomination!
The president assailed the GOP in a statement at the White House, accusing them of reneging on a pledge to not raise taxes by voting against a Democratic proposal that would cut extend the tax cut in 2012, and pay for it by a surtax on the wealthy.
"Now, some Republicans who have pushed back against the idea of extending this payroll tax cut have said you’ve got to pay for this tax cut. I'd just like to point out they haven't always felt that way," Obama said.
"Over the last decade, they didn't feel the need to pay for massive tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans ... Indeed, when the Republicans took over the House at the beginning of this year, they explicitly changed the rules to say that tax cuts don't have to be paid for. So forgive me a little bit of confusion when I hear folks insisting on tax cuts being paid for."
Make no mistake about it, this is not about the Republicans becoming fiscally responsible, this is simply about the Republicans obstructing anything that would maintain or improve the current state of the economy – and them believing that the Obama Administration and the Democrats will be blamed for the impending economic disaster.
I hope that Obama and the Democrats gain a lot of political mileage by showing just whose interests the Republicans represent.
Last night during the Republican debate, Michele Bachmann was asked which social programs she would cut if she became president. She responded:” I would like to go back and look at Lyndon B. Johnson’s, the Great Society.” She went on to say that the Great Society hasn’t worked, and it has put us into a modern welfare state – “if you look at China, they don’t have food stamps, and people save for their own retirement security, they don’t have AFDC, they don’t have the modern welfare state, and they’re growing.” Michele Bachmann, said???
Yes China does not have Aid for Depended Children or a food stamp program, Bachmann; however, China is a communist nation with a socialized government. And the vast majority of the workers, don’t make enough money to save for their own anything – and least of which, retirement, and they don’t have too – the government takes care of their basic needs, and their children also help support the parents when they get old as well – and this is why most couples want boys – and because of the one child law, some even kill the girls at birth. And yes Bachmann, China is in fact growing, and they’re growing mainly because of cheap labor, and free prison labor, currency manipulation and unfair trade policies, and a whole host of other reasons.
And both Bachmann and her anti-gay, gay-hating, gay husband both claim to be Christians? I wonder just what it is about the part about feeding the poor that “jesus” “said,” that they just don’t seem to understand.
Last night as I was watching the Republican debate and listening to these ass-clowns, trying to come up with coherent answers for simple questions on subjects that one would think that any candidate running for a chance at beating Obama in 2012, and winning the highest office in the land, would have at least taken the time to learn what the facts behind the real issues actually are?
Besides learning that the current frontrunners in this race to the bottom in this cesspool of stupidity and ignorance, both support the use of torture ("enhanced interrogation"), and Herman Cain (the Herman Cain who has said that one of his main priorities in his policy in dealing with China, would be preventing China from developing a nuclear weapon) now wants a clear objective for victory in both of the current wars being fought in the Middle East, and before we even start thinking about bringing our military personal home – sorry Herman, but you’re about 10 years late on the Middle Eastern wars, and almost 50 years late on China. And it also became very clear last night, that Herman Cain doesn’t know jack-shit about the Middle East, or about the different types of religious ideologue, and the direct effect that it has on the politics: however, Cain seems to have developed a new strategy when confronted with questions that he has no fucking clue how to answer – he simply resorts to spewing pretentious rhetoric – this became obvious last night, when he was trying to answer questions about Pakistan and Iran, and even so obvious, that even that cretin from Texas (Governor Rick Perry) looked over at him with a stunned look on his face – like wow, this guy’s even stupider than I am.
Last night’s debate took me back to the day when I heard Sarah Palin’s response to Barbara Walters’ question about if she thought that she could beat Obama in 2012, and Palin responded: “I believe so.” However, I believe Palin soon realized that she had no chance of beating Obama in 2012, or even wining the Republican nomination. So she simply decided to capitalize on her 15 minutes “fame.” Much like Newt Gingrich has been doing all along – the reality is that Gingrich has just a few too many skeletons in his closet to survive a race against Obama and win the White House – and I believe that when the door to Herman Cain’s closet is finally opened, that we’re going to find a whole fucking cemetery in his closet, and complete with an assortment of bats and ravens! And then there’s the fact that Herman Cain is also a lying psychopath:
The Republican candidate told CBN News that's why he believes "God's been in this from the beginning."
Cain said that when he felt God calling him to run for president, he resisted just as Moses did after being called by God to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt.
Like Moses, Cain says he told God, "You've got the wrong person. You can't be talking about me."
Cain told CBN News that it took a lot of those "conversations with God" to overcome his reluctance to seek the presidency.
So what about the other current candidates?
Mitt Romney: he is willing to say or do almost anything that will win him points with Christian conservatives. He has already changed his positions on almost everything he stood for when he was the Governor of Massachusetts; like women’s rights, and the abortion issue; health care, and a whole host of other issues as well – and personally, I believe he would even try and change his brand of religious delusion, if he truly believed that would get him into the White House – but conservative Christians, and most of the other Christian-nuts, simply will not vote for a Mormon.
Rick Perry: he will for sure win the support of the “Religious Right,” and most of those delusional and ignorant Christian-nuts in the Deep South, but I don’t believe that most of the other Christians will support this cretin in the general election, nor will the “swing voters.” And Obama would quickly lay his ignorant and delusional, psychotic ass to waste in the debates.
I know that a lot can happen between now and the Presidential Election – but I will say it would be a safe bet that Obama will easily win his second term as President.
Yes this brain-dead idiot, just might be coming to a town near you:
Like most other ignorant Christians living here in this nation, Palin wears her ignorance as a badge of honor -- Sarah Palin later defended her account of Paul Revere and his midnight ride, insisting that his warning essentially represented a message to the British that the revolutionaries weren't going to back down.
"I didn't mess up," the potential GOP presidential candidate said this morning on Fox News Sunday. "I answered candidly and I know my American history." Palin said???
Sarah Palin’s “one nation” bus tour is being promoted as part of a new campaign to educate and energize Americans about our nation's founding principles – of which Palin knows absolutely nothing about, nor does this ignorant fucking moron know anything about American history – it is one thing to be this stupid and ignorant, but when people like Palin are so stupid and ignorant, that they can’t even see just how stupid and ignorant that they actually are, well, that’s just sad. And what’s even sadder is the fact that millions of the American people, believe that she is more qualified than our current President to lead our nation, and that she would make an excellent President.
Whenever a natural disaster occurs, or any other type of disaster occurs – anything that happens, which involves the pain suffering and deaths of people, the one thing that you can always count on is Christian lunacy. Over the years, I have become sort of a junky for the ignorant rants from those like Pat Robertson, and the other deluded idiots and ignorant morons. And after the death of Jerry Falwel, I’ve been finding it harder and harder, to find my fix – it’s sad enough when bad shit happens, but it even makes the event sadder, when some deluded moron proclaims that "god" had caused an earthquake which killed people, simply because Muslim woman are showing too much skin in public (showing both eyes, instead of just one), or he starts killing people, simply to remind them to love each other???
Meet Gordon Robertson, the son of Pat Robertson. After the devastating earthquake hit Japan; Gordon Robertson proclaimed live during a Regent University preview session after a New Jersey audience member had asked him, whether the frequency of earthquakes were a sign of the End Times and if so, what he should do?
"Well, we should be looking because our redemption draws nigh," Robertson replied. "In all the warnings of the End Times, earthquakes are just one of them and Jesus likened it to birth pangs. The earth is literally giving birth to the coming Messiah. I would expect we will see more. We've seen devastation in Christchurch in New Zealand. This magnitude was literally beyond imagining, what's happened just today in Japan. So we'll see more of that."
Robertson told another listener who was worried about politics to vote to create change. He also encouraged Christians to be part of the candidate selection process.
When asked about fiscal conservatism, he remarked that Social Security and Medicaid were the biggest components of the deficit and thought that the retirement age should be extended a couple of years for Social Security.
This goes without question, that the old saying is in fact true: “the fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
I have always thought biggest components of the deficit, were the two wars that Bush had been funding off of the books, and the tax cuts for the rich?
Can someone believe that a cosmic ghost, impregnated a young virgin girl with his son (or impregnated the young girl with himself, depending on which brand of this deluded story that one subscribes), and still be logical and reasonable in other facets of their lives?
I first asked this question in an article that I posted back in the 1990s, after reading a story about a child who had died, because their Christian parents had placed their faith in “jesus,” instead of seeking medical care for their sick child – and after seeing the interview of the parents, and seeing just how ignorant and deluded that they were, I also wrote in the same article, that I wouldn’t even expect that people who live that far from reality, to be logical and reasonable, in any other facets of their lives either.
It only took about 15 minutes after I had posted the article, before the death threats started pouring into my website, along with the comments from many other Christians, proclaiming that not all Christians are as stupid as those Christian parents, in the case of their sick child. I believed at the time, that most of these Christian readers, simply had thought that I was making these statements about all Christians in general – and I was not; and I had even posted another article, further explaining my position, and where I was coming from with my post, and asking them, why they were just attacking me, and not even addressing the real issue of my post – and then the subject of most of the comments changed. Most started defending the parent’s rights to do whatever they thought was best for their child, and that it was none of my fucking business, how Christian parents raise their children.
The main point of my second post on this subject, was the question why is it that most Christians, are so unwilling to criticize any behavior which is labeled as being Christian, and even when that behavior, results in the death of a child. Some of these folks, even tried to convince me, that the child’s death had nothing to do with the actions of the parents, or that it was simply the will of “god” (I wondered why they would believe that a “god,” would want a child to be born, just so they can develop diabetes, and then die because the parents refused medical treatment for the child – that’s god’s will – WTF!!!). I had even started wondering, if I had somehow failed to clearly make the point, that the only reason that this child was dead, was because of the actions of the parents – I even asked my friends, if they could understand the point that I was making; they all said that my point was clear as daylight, and that they had no problem understanding that the actions of the parents, had caused the death of this child.
Could it be that some Christians, simply, really don’t live within the same realm of reality as most of us do? In my worldview, and in the reality in which I live, snakes and asses don’t talk, and young virgin girls, don’t give birth to babies, and the dead don’t rise; however, most often when you confront Christians as to why they believe as truth, such silly and utter nonsense, instead of simply answering, most try and convince you, that you are simply misunderstanding these issues; and this is one of the facets of this mind-virus, that I find the most appalling – some Christians, will even spend hours trying to convince you, that you just don’t understand the meaning of all of those horrible stories, which are written in the bible – like the one when their “god,” “flooded” the earth, and then murdered all of those innocent men, women and children; they even tell this horrible, sick and morbid story to little children, and paint it as being warm and fuzzy, and they try and convince you, that you just don’t understand the story.
We all know that the Tea Party, is filled to the rafters with ignorant and deluded, uneducated and just plain stupid idiots and morons, and one only needs to look at the party’s leadership, to fully understand why the Tea Party, is the party of stupid.
In the following video, Tea Party spokesperson, and devout Christian Michele Bachmann, demonstrates again that she doesn’t know jack-shit about American history, or anything else for that matter – and when Tea Party strategist Sal Russo, is asked to explain just what in the hell this ignorant moron was talking about, and why the Tea Party picked someone as stupid and ignorant as Bachmann for their spokesperson, he simply spins around, and then starts talking out of his ass, and trying to convince the host, that she was talking about government spending? This is sort of what I was saying that most Christians do, when confronted about just how insane their beliefs are – they simply spin around, and start talking out of their ass, while trying to convince you, of your ignorance.
Oh, sure Palin, you can beat Obama in 2012 – and on the night of your presidential inauguration, a team of well trained monkeys will fly out of your ass, while they all hum “Hail to the Chief,” and after which, they’ll all surround you, and sing a chorus of “God bless America,” and all before returning back home into your ass, Palin – you deluded fucking moron!
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about an argument that I had over the Vietnam War with a Christian friend of mine back in the mid 1980s. At the core of this argument, was whether or not the military arms manufactures, and the military contractors, were in fact highly influential in the decisions that our government made early on in this conflict, and in the subsequent escalation of the war - and if the real reasons for our involvement in this conflict, were primarily about military contracts and profit making (war profiteering).
Our debate centered on whether or not our government would lead us into a war, and would allow US citizens to be placed in harm’s way, based on nothing more than a lie. My friend found the idea so appalling that our democracy could be hijacked in such a way that tens of thousands of our citizens had died, simply so the big corporations could rape our nation, and raid our tax dollars. He said that our government could never be that evil, not in a million years. I contended that these were in fact the reasons for our involvement in the war; and that the main reasons why we were not still fighting this pointless conflict, was because of the strong middleclass that we had at the time – and that was now the main reasons that the puppet masters of his hero (Ronald Reagan) had now shifted their war efforts on the middleclass.
In the times when we have had a strong middleclass, our leaders were directed and driven by the will of the electorate, and not by the interests of the big corporations. Back in the 1970s, the wages were good, and the cost of living was fairly low, and our citizens had more time for both leisure and to express their dissatisfaction with the direction that the nation was headed back then. I argued that if it had not been for the involvement of the hordes of middleclass, who were defiantly protesting this unjust war, and demanding the withdrawal of our military personal; that this conflict would have never ended.
I never could get my Christian friend to understand back then, the direction that our nation was headed; he was only concerned with the shortsighted rightwing agendas like ending abortion and becoming a Christian nation. I argued that these religious issues were simply being used as a ploy by those with their sights set on a complete corporate government takeover, and in doing this, by undermining the middleclass – I argued that if the ignorant Christian-sheep in this nation, didn’t open up their eyes and start seeing just where they were being lead and why, that someday they would wake-up, and everything about this nation which makes this nation the greatest nation on this planet, would all be gone, and gone along with their freedoms and their jobs, and the only thing that we would be producing as a nation, would be wars – and without a strong middleclass, and the checks and balance – we would all find ourselves at the will of the big corporations and their elected cronies.
For years, I pleaded with this moron to open up his eyes, and stop subscribing to the pipedream of a Christian nation that his rightwing heroes were playing to him – I told him, that as these evil motherfuckers came closer to archiving their goals, that they’ll orphan all of your silly Christian asses as well.
Today this guy is homeless – years ago, before he lost his job, his preacher convinced him to refinance his moorage, and pull out the equity, and then donate it to the church – he then lost his home to foreclosure – this was the same preacher who convinced him to vote for Ronald Reagan – he now blames Obama for all of his troubles.
You may not agree with my opinions, about how and why we arrived at where we are today – but the fact is, we’re here. And are we now past the point of no return. And is the split that we are now seeing within the Republican Party over the Tea Party, simply caused by the fact that our democracy is now just for sale to the highest bidder, and for sale, indifferent to which party that they choose to deal with – have the big corporations simply orphaned their base?
I have been enjoying every single moment while watching the Republican Party implode – their chickens are simply coming home to roost, and coming home big-time. Back when Karl Rove orchestrated Ronald Reagan’s bid for President, by playing to the issues of the religious-right and the evangelical-Christians; he probably never even realized that this move would come back and bite the party in the ass big-time. Now the party has become the party of the ones who live on the outermost fringes of reality.
It was the middle of a tough primary contest, and Rep. Bob Inglis (R-S.C.) had convened a small meeting with donors who had contributed thousands of dollars to his previous campaigns. But this year, as Inglis faced a challenge from tea party-backed Republican candidates claiming Inglis wasn't sufficiently conservative, these donors hadn't ponied up. Inglis' task: Get them back on the team. "They were upset with me," Inglis recalls. "They are all Glenn Beck watchers." About 90 minutes into the meeting, as he remembers it, "They say, 'Bob, what don't you get? Barack Obama is a socialist, communist Marxist who wants to destroy the American economy so he can take over as dictator. Health care is part of that. And he wants to open up the Mexican border and turn [the US] into a Muslim nation.'" Inglis didn't know how to respond.
How does one respond to this type of lunacy?
As he tells this story, the veteran lawmaker is sitting in his congressional office, which he will have to vacate in a few months. On June 22, he was defeated in the primary runoff by Spartanburg County 7th Circuit Solicitor Trey Gowdy, who had assailed Inglis for supposedly straying from his conservative roots, pointing to his vote for the bank bailout and against George W. Bush’s surge in Iraq. Inglis, who served six years in Congress during the 1990s as a conservative firebrand before being reelected to the House in 2004, had also ticked off right-wingers in the state’s 4th Congressional District by urging tea-party activists to “turn Glenn Beck off” and by calling on Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) to apologize for shouting “You lie!” at Obama during the president’s State of the Union address. For this, Inglis, who boasts (literally) a 93 percent lifetime rating from the American Conservative Union, received the wrath of the tea party, losing to Gowdy 71 to 29 percent. In the weeks since, Inglis has criticized Republican House leaders for acquiescing to a poisonous, tea party-driven “demagoguery” that he believes will undermine the GOP’s long-term credibility. And he’s freely recounting his frustrating interactions with tea party types, while noting that Republican leaders are pushing rhetoric tainted with racism, that conservative activists are dabbling in anti-Semitic conspiracy theory nonsense, and that Sarah Palin celebrates ignorance….
This is what happens when those who historically didn’t even vote in the national elections – the ones who believe that there were ghosts running around 2000 years ago, and raping little girls and making saviors, bring their bat-shit crazy lunacy into politics. Most Christians are not only extremely deluded, but a lot of them are extremely hatful – they hate Muslims, atheists and even other Christians who have a different understanding of “ god’s good-word.”
I simply say: good for them – like that old saying goes; “when one lies with dogs, one shouldn’t then complain about the fleas either.” They invited the right-wing Christian lunatics into the main stream of the party – now they just have to deal with them.
The good news is that less than 25% of the voters now identify themselves as Republicans; and the tea-party has further divided the party right down the middle – I believe that the Republican party is well on its way to becoming just another fringe party of nutters.
I believe the time has now come that we need a new party – a party of real progressives. The way I see it is that the republicans are fast going to “hell” in a hand-basket – so let them take the democrats with them!
Angle: “What’s happening (in America). Is a violation of the 1st Commandment;” entitlements “make government our God.”
That's what Sharron Angle, the GOP nominee for the U.S. Senate, said in an April 21 interview with TruNews Christian Radio's Rick Wiles. I have obtained audio of the interview, previously unnoticed, which contains some startling rhetoric from the candidate who has said running for office was a calling from God. But in this interview, she goes much further:
"And these programs that you mentioned -- that Obama has going with Reid and Pelosi pushing them forward -- are all entitlement programs built to make government our God. And that’s really what’s happening in this country is a violation of the First Commandment. We have become a country entrenched in idolatry, and that idolatry is the dependency upon our government. We’re supposed to depend upon God for our protection and our provision and for our daily bread, not for our government."
When was the last time that we heard a candidate say, that they have entered a political race because god had spoken to them - let’s see – Gorge W. Bush? Sharron Angle is even sicker in the head than Bush is; and she makes Sarah Palin look like a world scholar. But one can’t help respecting this ignorant mentally-ill Christian for saying what’s really on her deluded-mind. In essence; we need to depend on god and jesus for all of our needs – is this why Christians are so opposed to any and all government social program which actually helps people? Let’s see, god lets millions of children die each year of starvation and easily curable illness because god just has better things to do – like saving drug-addicts and alcoholics from their own willful destructive behavior.
At least this deluded ignorant Christian bitch has the balls to say what’s really on her deluded mind.
I’ve wanted to tell those ignorant Christians that I know, the ones who voted for Bush and his pick for VP in 1999: “SEE, I TOLD YOU SO!!!”
When they told me that they would be voting Bush for president in November; at first a thought that they were just kidding (I wondered, why these people would vote for a complete moron like Bush). I asked them if they knew anything about the backgrounds of either Bush or Cheney. I asked them if they knew that Cheney had constantly voted against every bill that was intended to help the poor and the middle-class. I asked them if they knew that he had consistently voted against the food-stamp program and the free and reduced lunch programs for poor school children, or if they knew that he was the CEO of a company with major contracts with the U.S. Government, including the military. I asked them aside from the unmistakable fact, that Bush is a complete and utter idiot and moron, just what made them think that he was more qualified to run our nation than Gore was; they told me: “you just don’t like Bush because he’s a Christian, and he’s going to restore the Christian values that our nation was founded on, and he’s going to end the baby killing (abortion) and he will bring back Christian-prayer in the public schools.”
when I asked these ignorant Christian morons; whose face’s read like that of an 11 year old girl, whose having her first crush on a boy - what does any of this have to do with making him a competent leader in your eyes – they simply said that he was a man of “god,” and that they believed, that “god” had chosen him to lead our nation. I told most of them that if this deluded ignorant moron gets into office, that within his first term that we would be at war with Iraq, and that the price of a gallon of gas, would exceed ten dollars at the pumps (I have to admit though, that just like all of the tenets of Christianity; I simply pulled that ten dollar a gallon figure out of my ass – but still, I was only off by five dollars, and the time frame). That he would further deregulate the banking industry, leading to another tax-payer bailout; just like the one when his bother (Neil Bush) stole close to a billion dollars from the banks, back in the 1980s. And with his plans to both deregulate and expand oil drilling in sensitive areas of Alaska, and including drilling offshore wells along our coasts – I told them that I had feared an ecological disaster of biblical proportions.
Nothing that I had told any of these ignorant Christian morons, seemed of any concern to them; they said that Bush would be guided by the hand of “god.” And I just hated Bush, simply because he was a Christian. Then yesterday as I was shopping for a new laptop computer, I started calling some of my friends to see if of any of them, might have a lead on one that I could buy on the cheap; I called one of my ignorant Bush loving friends, who I had not spoken with in a long while. Our conversation quickly turned to the events happening in the Gulf Coast. This Christian said that he knew that most of the stuff that he’d been hearing in the news was just mostly, just all bullshit. He said that his father had recently told him, that the area’s where he was going to fish this summer were all closed; but maybe they would reopen them later this year in the fall. He said that he was seeking the real truth as far as just how bad this mess in the Gulf Coast actually is – and he said because he knew of my extensive background in the sciences involved with this type of a situation, that he now wanted me to tell him the truth of just how bad this mess is. As I was getting ready to answer him, I remembered that most of his family lived in the Gulf Coast area, and that they fished the Coast waters for their livelihood. And that their fishing business had been in their family for many generations. At that moment, tears began streaming uncontrollably from my eyes – I wasn’t anymore sad at that movement, than I had been at any other time since this mess had started; I believe it was just the desperation in his voice, which had caused my reaction. I told him that from the beginning that I had believed that the well was leaking between one half million and a million gallons of oil into the waters each day, and that BP had just been lying about the enormity of this disaster from day one. And their interests were never about stopping the oil; it was only about letting the oil flow, until they could come up with some kind of half-hatched plan to recover some of the oil, and try to cut their losses. They could have used their remote subs to close the valve on the blowout preventer, and stop the uncontrolled flow of oil – and that they had lied about not being able to close the valve, because if they had closed the valve and stopped the oil – they knew that they would never be allowed to reopen it again; however, they did use the remote subs, to cut the 24 inch pipe leading from the well, which I now believe is spilling more than two and a half million gallons of oil each day, of which they now claim to be recovering about 600,000 gallons each day.
told him that his families fishing business, and just like all the fish and marine life living in the Gulf Coast, have all started dying a slow miserable death. He said that his dad had started drinking again, after being sober for more than 30 years; and that his family was concerned that he might become suicidal if he lost everything. In the end he offered to give me a nice computer for free, which he said, only needed the OS reinstated because of a virus. I declined his offer despite the fact that it was a much nicer computer than the one that I ended up buying yesterday – see I knew that if I had anymore dealings with him yesterday, that he would have found some kind of a way to throw his Christian-bullshit in my face. And I would have then told him, that this mess, was all caused because you, and all of the other ignorant Christians, who voted for that ignorant fucking Bush, simply because you all share the same delusion. And just look at what it’s costing you and your family now. And in the end, I would have told him “SEE, I TOLD YOU SO!!!”
Before they start screaming that no one could have foreseen an environmental disaster of this magnitude, which now threatens turning the entire gulf coast into an oily polluted wasteland and a marine dead-zone; let me first say, many of us did. Any type of oil exploration and drilling contains inherent risks and dangers. Most of the risks can be reasonably managed, when drilling on the earth’s surface; but these risks are greatly increase in offshore drilling – and can only be managed with any degree safety, when rules and regulations are first put in place, which put the interests of the commons above those of the oil companies and their profits – and this is why we must elect competent leaders.
The events that caused this latest of environmental disasters; didn’t start with the April 20 explosion and sinking of the Deepwater Horizon rig - it started when Gorge W. Bush was appointed as President in 2000. In the mid to late 90s, officials in the Clinton administration had drafted new regulations and laws, governing offshore oil exploration and drilling, both before and after Clinton had extended the moratorium on offshore oil drilling. The regulations in this draft were modeled on the same laws and safeguards that are enforced by every other nation on this planet, which is engaged in offshore oil drilling. However, G. W. Bush, and his newly appointed cabinet of brain-dead and incompetent, Christian university graduates, and deluded ignorant Christian idiots and morons; believed the laws just amounted to more government regulation and the interference in the private matter of business. And that the regulations and laws would just discourage private investment.
Then in 2003, under the pressure of the oil companies, the Bush administration further weakened the regulations and laws concerning the construction and operations of these offshore oil drilling rigs. The oil companies and their contractors complained that many of the required safety devices, would not increase safety, but would only complicate the construction, and increase the cost of building the oil-rigs. Bush agreed saying “it’s best to leave those decisions up to the experts, like myself, the ‘oil men’ who know how best to drill an oil well” (well he said something just as stupid, even if those weren’t his exact words).
One of those required safety devices, was a remote controlled blowout preventer, that with the other required safety equipment, would have automatically shut off the oil within minutes after the explosion had occurred – and if this device had been installed during the construction of this oil-rig; we would only be dealing with a few thousand gallons of oil, and not the millions of gallons of oil we’re now faced with today. Their main objection to this device and its supporting equipment, was that it would have added about 700,000 dollars to the cost of the construction, of each new oil-rig (a small price to pay for preventing an environmental disaster of this magnitude, you just might think?)
I was deeply sadden when this ignorant Christian moron, G. W. Bush, decided to expand offshore drilling for oil, this despite all the warnings of the dangers presented by scientists, that by him doing so, he would only be creating a disaster waiting to happen.
The biggest concerns I had back then was without direct government oversight, laws and regulations, and a real invested plan to quickly deal with these types of disasters; we would be betting the future of life as we know it here on our only planet, on those deluded Christians who are only concerned with Jesus, the rapture, and a deluded vision of an afterlife.
I was very disappointed when Obama caved into these ignorant mindless Christian morons in the GOP, who are led like ignorant-sheep, by the interests of corporate America, I hope that now he will grow some fucking balls, and enact a permanent ban on this madness, or at least reinstate the moratorium on new drilling, at least until all of the current safety issues have been properly addressed.
I can now only hope that the damage being caused by this disaster, will open the eyes of those ignorant Christians voters in the south, who’s only criterion in choosing their leadership, is that they be just as anti-science, deluded and ignorant as them, and only concerned about the here and now just like they are. But I believe it will only be a matter of time, before they start blaming Obama for this too; and then they’ll again support that ignorant Christian bitch, and the “drill baby drill” mentality.
I’ve been checking out Christian talk-radio for a while, trying to get a feel on the pulse of Christians and politics these days. I was very surprised to find that about 40% of the callers actually had something intelligent to say. Most of them were very disappointed over the 8 years that Bush served in office; they said they voted for Bush because they believed he would end abortions and bring back Christian-prayer in the public schools. And they now feel so deeply betrayed by Bush, that most said they wouldn’t vote again until they see a candidate, who shared their same values.
The overwhelming majority of them said that they would not be voting this year in November or in 2012. What I found most interesting was that only a small percentage of them thought that Palin would make a good president. They also seem to be turned off big-time by all of the ignorant and raciest tea-partiers as well. Most of them seemed to feel that neither political party supported their Christian values; and some were even saying that they won’t be voting again, until there is a new party – a “Christian party” (LOL). And most all of them were saying, they will not be sending the GOP party anymore of their money.
Could it be that all that bullshit the GOP has been stirring up to create so much acrimony In our nation, is now beginning to backfire in their faces. And will the GOP’s base be reduced to those of the ilk who we now see at the tea-parties. I believe the good news in all this is, we’ll be seeing less and less of them voting in the elections.
