Sarah Palin tells ABC’s Barbara Walters that she can beat President Obama in 2012:

Oh, sure Palin, you can beat Obama in 2012 – and on the night of your presidential inauguration, a team of well trained monkeys will fly out of your ass, while they all hum “Hail to the Chief,” and after which, they’ll all surround you, and sing a chorus of “God bless America,” and all before returning back home  into your ass, Palin – you deluded fucking moron!

I do agree the odds are greatly against her but much will depend on what happens in the next year. How many times have Republicans used their majority to keep the American people down and blamed the Democrats? With the majority of the media right leaning it is actually possible for her to have a chance.

What I believe we’re going to be seeing for the next year or so, will to be so ugly in both houses that the votes will be so turned off by the GOP, that there will be no chance of them regaining the White House in 2012. In the midterms, the Republicans simply ran a campaign based on worthless rhetoric – what resulted was driven by racism, and on the other hand, the Democratic base was so turned off by the last 2 years of Obama’s lack of leadership, that most didn’t even bother to vote, or didn’t vote as a way of protesting. My hopes are that Obama and the Democrats, will finally grow some fucking balls, and at least do a better job of conveying the things that they did accomplish – I was so disappointed that none of the Democrats seemed believe that informing the voters of what they did manage accomplish despite all of the Republican obstructionists, was important.

As for Palin, I just don’t see her even getting the Republican nomination. Over the past 2 years, I believe she’s lost what little credibility she might have once had – and she only remains a viable candidate in the minds of the most profoundly racists and ignorant among us.
The democrats didn't actually have a real majority. You had the Democrats that only call themselves that so they can get elected. The blue dogs are more Republican then Democrat and you could see that in their voting records. Look how people will change political parties when it will help them get elected.

Sarah Palin will stand a chance unless she continues to make statements like the one about North Korea being our strong ally. I know she didn't actually mean to say that but it was a slip but it does show how easily she can screw up. Hell even when the person asking the questions is friendly ton her she screws up at least a few times a week. That doesn't really matter to the Republican base though. The thing that matters to them is how often she says her god is directing her. With the way religion grows in ignorance as people suffer more, she will be able to get many of those votes.
I totally agree the Democrats did not have a real majority. I believe that one can blame the Democrats themselves for not putting the blue dogs in check – they should lose all support from the Democratic Party.

I can’t help but thinking about what one of Palin’s handlers had said in 09, that Palin had been given a script to follow for almost every interview and speech that she gave, but every time she was caught off guard, she simply went back to being Palin again – you can see that transition occur in many of her interviews (that deer caught in the headlights look). The only thing that I can give this woman credit for, is for her being an incredibly stupid moron, and more so, than even Bush was in 1999 – 2000 and beyond. I would say that she has become a little better at parroting some of the things that have been hammered into that empty space between her ears; however, I would just love to see her in an unscripted debate with Obama – I believe that Obama would simply lay her silly and ignorant ass to waste – and I don’t see the Republicans betting the whole farm on this brain-dead moron in 2012, when they have so many other ignorant and deluded morons, who are at least capable of independent thinking – although a sorry lot as well.

LOL! - I’m also kinda hoping that this newest of Christian delusion, of “jesus” “returning” in 2012 will catch on; and that they will be so busy praying, and wondering whether or not, they’ll make the grade for the “rapture,” that they’ll be too busy to concern themselves over who will be running the nation after they have all gone to “heaven.”
If Americans can elect a drug-addled, draft-dodging, convicted drunk-driving moron like Bush, or a stage-prop like Reagan who was already senile when he took office in 1980 and was still re-elected in 1984, Why not Palin?

Carter was so unpopular in 1980, that I believe that the monkey that co-starred with Reagan in those silly movies could have even beat Carter as well. And we didn’t elect Bush in 2000; he simply stole the election and then was appointed. The big differences between then and now are that the economy is spinning down the shitter along with our jobs. When times are good, the Republicans can play that fake fucking family values bullshit to the ignorant Christian “values voter,” and those deluded and ignorant morons will simply bask in their stupidity; however, in hard times like we’re having today; most of these people know that bullshit is not going to provide them a job and put food on the table – most of the Tea Party, and the base of the Republican Party have no clue how to fix the economy and create jobs; they simply want to undue everything that Obama has done - and undue what little that he has accomplish. I don’t believe taking away the health care of 30 million people who just became insured, including many children, and extending tax breaks for the rich, will win them a whole lot of undecided voters this time.

Palin is such a profoundly deluded and ignorant moron that she will never even be able to rise, even to the level of ignorance that we had seen in Bush in 2000 – and not even if the great puppet master Karl Rove himself, shoved his arm up that ignorant bitch’s ass, and then did the speaking for her.
As usual, you make excellent points. As for Bush's stealing the election in 2000, he also stole it from Kerry in 2004 via the usual Rethuglican fraudulent means. As for Palin's chances in 2012, your strong logic notwithstanding, rememberH.L. Mencken's famous quote: "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public".

BTW, John, on another matter, I tried to contact you re your comment on my "Time Clock Theist" post. It was rejected in error, but I managed to salvage your text and was able to quote you.
Thanks, for re-posting my comment on your blog.

I have to agree with Mencken; I thought that Bush was done, after he had said in 1999, that our founding documents were only words written on paper, but, the ignorant Christians acted as if they were voting for “jesus” himself – and after seeing what has happened to our rights and freedoms in this nation, I would now have to say that Bush was right in 1999 – thank you, all of you ignorant Bush-voting Christians!
