Obama calling GOP members of congress hypocrites:

President Barack Obama suggested Monday that congressional Republicans were acting hypocritically by opposing an extension and expansion of a payroll tax cut set to expire at the end of this year.

The president assailed the GOP in a statement at the White House, accusing them of reneging on a pledge to not raise taxes by voting against a Democratic proposal that would cut extend the tax cut in 2012, and pay for it by a surtax on the wealthy.

"Now, some Republicans who have pushed back against the idea of extending this payroll tax cut have said you’ve got to pay for this tax cut. I'd just like to point out they haven't always felt that way," Obama said.

"Over the last decade, they didn't feel the need to pay for massive tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans ... Indeed, when the Republicans took over the House at the beginning of this year, they explicitly changed the rules to say that tax cuts don't have to be paid for. So forgive me a little bit of confusion when I hear folks insisting on tax cuts being paid for."

Obama has proposed a 3.25 percent surtax on incomes over $1 million to pay for the middleclass tax cut extensions, and extending unemployment benefits. the Republicans refused to even entertain such an idea as millionaires and billionaires, paying more in taxes – so just what have the Republicans been willing offer as a compromise? A three-year pay freeze for federal workers, and the cutting of 200,000 government jobs. This counter offer was made by Mitch McConnell – the same Mitch McConnell who stated back in 2010: “the single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term President.” The Speaker of the Republican controlled House, the orange prick, John Boehner, has suggested that he would support the bill with a rider attached that would accelerate the approval of the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, and many of the other Republicans, also want the Bush tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires made permanent as a part of the deal.

Make no mistake about it, this is not about the Republicans becoming fiscally responsible, this is simply about the Republicans obstructing anything that would maintain or improve the current state of the economy – and them believing that the Obama Administration and the Democrats will be blamed for the impending economic disaster.

I hope that Obama and the Democrats gain a lot of political mileage by showing just whose interests the Republicans represent.

Ass-Clown Michele Bachmann:

Last night during the Republican debate, Michele Bachmann was asked which social programs she would cut if she became president. She responded:” I would like to go back and look at Lyndon B. Johnson’s, the Great Society.” She went on to say that the Great Society hasn’t worked, and it has put us into a modern welfare state – “if you look at China, they don’t have food stamps, and people save for their own retirement security, they don’t have AFDC, they don’t have the modern welfare state, and they’re growing.” Michele Bachmann, said???

I just find it astounding that someone as profoundly ignorant, uneducated and just plain stupid as Michele Bachmann was even elected to public office. I wonder if this ignorant idiot understands that food stamps, and the over $250,000 in farm subsidies that she received between 1995 and 2006, are all a part of the same program that she wants to cut (you hypocritical bitch).

Yes China does not have Aid for Depended Children or a food stamp program, Bachmann; however, China is a communist nation with a socialized government. And the vast majority of the workers, don’t make enough money to save for their own anything – and least of which, retirement, and they don’t have too – the government takes care of their basic needs, and their children also help support the parents when they get old as well – and this is why most couples want boys – and because of the one child law, some even kill the girls at birth. And yes Bachmann, China is in fact growing, and they’re growing mainly because of cheap labor, and free prison labor, currency manipulation and unfair trade policies, and a whole host of other reasons.

And both Bachmann and her anti-gay, gay-hating, gay husband both claim to be Christians? I wonder just what it is about the part about feeding the poor that “jesus” “said,” that they just don’t seem to understand.

Last night as I was watching the Republican debate and listening to these ass-clowns, trying to come up with coherent answers for simple questions on subjects that one would think that any candidate running for a chance at beating Obama in 2012, and winning the highest office in the land, would have at least taken the time to learn what the facts behind the real issues actually are? 

Besides learning that the current frontrunners in this race to the bottom in this cesspool of stupidity and ignorance, both support the use of torture ("enhanced interrogation"), and Herman Cain (the Herman Cain who has said that one of his main priorities in his policy in dealing with China, would be preventing China from developing a nuclear weapon) now wants a clear objective for victory in both of the current wars being fought in the Middle East, and before we even start thinking about bringing our military personal home – sorry Herman, but you’re about 10 years late on the Middle Eastern wars, and almost 50 years late on China. And it also became very clear last night, that Herman Cain doesn’t know jack-shit about the Middle East, or about the different types of religious ideologue, and the direct effect that it has on the politics: however, Cain seems to have developed a new strategy when confronted with questions that he has no fucking clue how to answer – he simply resorts to spewing pretentious rhetoric – this became obvious last night, when he was trying to answer questions about Pakistan and Iran, and even so obvious, that even that cretin from Texas (Governor Rick Perry) looked over at him with a stunned look on his face – like wow, this guy’s even stupider than I am. 

Last night’s debate took me back to the day when I heard Sarah Palin’s response to Barbara Walters’ question about if she thought that she could beat Obama in 2012, and Palin responded: “I believe so.” However, I believe Palin soon realized that she had no chance of beating Obama in 2012, or even wining the Republican nomination. So she simply decided to capitalize on her 15 minutes “fame.” Much like Newt Gingrich has been doing all along – the reality is that Gingrich has just a few too many skeletons in his closet to survive a race against Obama and win the White House – and I believe that when the door to Herman Cain’s closet is finally opened, that we’re going to find a whole fucking cemetery in his closet, and complete with an assortment of bats and ravens! And then there’s the fact that Herman Cain is also a lying psychopath:

WASHINGTON (October 10, 2011)—GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain said Monday he didn't want to run for president, but God called him to join the race.

The Republican candidate told CBN News that's why he believes "God's been in this from the beginning."

Cain said that when he felt God calling him to run for president, he resisted just as Moses did after being called by God to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt. 

Like Moses, Cain says he told God, "You've got the wrong person. You can't be talking about me." 

Cain told CBN News that it took a lot of those "conversations with God" to overcome his reluctance to seek the presidency.

So what about the other current candidates?

Mitt Romney: he is willing to say or do almost anything that will win him points with Christian conservatives. He has already changed his positions on almost everything he stood for when he was the Governor of Massachusetts; like women’s rights, and the abortion issue; health care, and a whole host of other issues as well – and personally, I believe he would even try and change his brand of religious delusion, if he truly believed that would get him into the White House – but conservative Christians, and most of the other Christian-nuts, simply will not vote for a Mormon. 

Rick Perry: he will for sure win the support of the “Religious Right,” and most of those delusional and ignorant Christian-nuts in the Deep South, but I don’t believe that most of the other Christians will support this cretin in the general election, nor will the “swing voters.” And Obama would quickly lay his ignorant and delusional, psychotic ass to waste in the debates. 

I know that a lot can happen between now and the Presidential Election – but I will say it would be a safe bet that Obama will easily win his second term as President.

So what if my science is wrong? The bible is wrong – part 1:

I remember back in the 1980s when a story was circulating around within the religious community, that “genetic science,” had finally proven that the description given in the bible of “human creation,” was in fact true. That science had proven that the ancestry of every human alive on the earth today, had all been traced back to one single woman – that science had proven the story of Adam and Eve in the bible, was in fact true. The only problem was that the “proof” which they were offering, was not based on real science – in fact, in the 1980s; we simply hadn’t yet developed the technology to base such a conclusion on. So just what was the big deal about proving that the story of Adam and Eve in the bible was in fact true, and why were the religious (mainly the Christians) even willing to manufacture stories, and even tell outright lies? Because the theory of evolution was fast gaining acceptance as a fact, and without dirt man and rib woman, and the talking-snake and the original “sin” (sex) that opened up the door for every other type of “evil,” then there was also no need for a savor – the whole story about Christ dying for our sins, then all falls apart like a house of cards in the wind.

So fast forward to the twenty first century; there are mountains of evidence, which all support evolution as a fact, and with 99.999% certainty; we now know that there was never any less than 5,000 pairs of genes (10,000 almost human and human beings) involved on the road to becoming the human beings that we are today; and we now know with 99.999% certainty, that both humans and all of the great apes, all evolved from a common ancestor – so where does this leave both the stories of Adam and Eve, and the story of “our” “savor” “Jesus Christ”? It leaves them all in the dirt, where they all belonged in the first place.

You really wouldn’t think that there would be much more here to debate on this subject? But there are current debates going on among the Christian scholars:

According to the Bible (Genesis 2:7), this is how humanity began: "The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." God then called the man Adam, and later created Eve from Adam's rib.

Polls by Gallup and the Pew Research Center find that four out of 10 Americans believe this account. It's a central tenet for much of conservative Christianity, from evangelicals to confessional churches such as the Christian Reformed Church.

But now some conservative scholars are saying publicly that they can no longer believe the Genesis account. Asked how likely it is that we all descended from Adam and Eve, Dennis Venema, a biologist at Trinity Western University, replies: "That would be against all the genomic evidence that we've assembled over the last 20 years, so not likely at all."

Researching The Human Genome

Venema says there is no way we can be traced back to a single couple. He says with the mapping of the human genome, it's clear that modern humans emerged from other primates as a large population — long before the Genesis time frame of a few thousand years ago. And given the genetic variation of people today, he says scientists can't get that population size below 10,000 people at any time in our evolutionary history.

To get down to just two ancestors, Venema says, "You would have to postulate that there's been this absolutely astronomical mutation rate that has produced all these new variants in an incredibly short period of time. Those types of mutation rates are just not possible. It would mutate us out of existence."

Christian craziness at its finest – molesting the minds of innocent children

Many years ago, my friend tried to adopt a little stray dog that had wandered into his back yard, and had taken-up residency in his tool shed. This dog was extremely thin and mangy, and it had the worst odor of any other dog that I had ever seen before, and this odor was so bad, that I just can’t even begin to find the words, to even describe, just how bad that this dog smelled – my friend had even tried giving this dog a bath, but within minutes, this dog’s bad odor had returned, and had returned with an avenges even (this was simply the most mangy, and the most awful smelling dog that I had ever seen before).

My friend even tried feeding this dog. He had placed a large bowl, filled with dog food, right outside of the tool shed – but days went by, and this dog hadn’t eaten any of the food – it had seemed that this dog had simply disappeared. Then one night, my friend and I were cleaning some fish that we had caught, on a fishing trip the day before on a table in his back yard. And by the time that we had finished cleaning all of the fish, there was a big pile of fish heads and fish guts lying on the ground next to the table – then out of nowhere, comes this mangy and smelly little dog – snarling and growling, and foaming at the mouth. It then runs over to this big pile of dead fish parts, and then starts devouring the fish heads. And then after it had finished eating all of the fish heads, it then ran off and disappeared again.

Then over the next few weeks, my friend started finding the dead carcasses of small animals lying all over his back yard – there were dead rats, dead squirrels, dead cats, and even dead dogs - and all with parts of their heads missing.

Then one evening, and as my friend and I were sitting on the grass in his back yard, and sipping on some cold ones – out of nowhere, came this mangy and smelly little dog. It walks over to my friend and starts sniffing the back of my friends head – it then starts snarling and growling, and foaming at the mouth, and it then starts snapping at the back of my friends head, who then pulls out his pistol, and shoots this dog dead. We then dug a hole in the ground, and bury the thing. A few days later, my friend show’s me what looked like a large molehill, and it was right over the spot where we had buried this dog. We then both got shovels and started digging, but to our surprise, this dead dog was missing – my friend thought that maybe it wasn’t dead when we had buried it? And that it had simply awoke and dug itself out of the earth?

This case of the missing dead dog, had been a very troubling mystery for me for years – that was until last night, when I had watched this video -- at 5:50 in this video, this crazy and delusional, sick bitch, said to these children: “can I tell you a secret, don’t laugh if I tell you this, do you promise not to laugh – I know some kids, that have prayed for their dead animals, and they came back to life.”

Mystery solved ~ and I bet that I even know now, just what had happened to this dog’s first owner: poor kid!

Any reasonable and halfway intelligent adult and with a working brain (that is, a brain that hasn’t been halfway eaten by a Zombie-Dog – or hasn’t been halfway rotted away by Zombie-Jesus) can fully understand that my Zombie-Dog story is simply sarcasm – it’s simply a made up story – it’s simply make believe. And I would never write and post a story like this, anywhere that children the ages of the ones in this video might find it and read it.

To steal a quote from Vjack over at Atheist Revolution: “It really is remarkable, isn't it? It would be so easy to suggest that Ms. Daniels is in dire need of psychiatric treatment, but I think the more interesting question is how many others inhabit this bizarre world in which she apparently lives.”

Well, here’s one even crazier and deluded Christian bitch that we can all try on for size – and I can finally go and throw up now!

Changing old habits – part 2

I had no problem at all understanding and relating with the dynamics of the issues that Jane and her family were going through, as I sat there listening to Jane telling me about all of the problems that her niece was having because of her drug addiction, and her telling me about how much of a negative impact that her niece’s problems, where having on the rest of her family. The main differences in our two stories, were how we had become drug addicted, and the impacts that our addictions had on both us and our families.

In the case of her niece - there was a drug fad that had started back in the mid 1980s and early 90s, and after the introduction of crack cocaine. Some of the marijuana smoking teens and young adults, had started sprinkling crack cocaine on top of their marijuana, and then smoking the two substances together (this was called smoking primo). And some of them, even started melting both crack cocaine and black tar heroin together, and then smoking that mixture together with the marijuana – this would then sometimes lead to cocaine or heroin addiction, and sometimes like in the case of Jane’s niece, she became addicted to both heroin and crack cocaine. In my case, what led me to the path of drug addiction was the excessive use of pain medications after I had suffered a lower back injury, and had received bad advice – real bad advice from the doctors that were treating me. After about five years of suffering with chronic back pain, and injuring and reinjuring my lower back, it was then suggested (recommended) that I have back surgery, and have 3 of the disks in my lower back fused together. This sounded real great at first, until after I had done some research – not only was there no guaranty that this would end my pain – fusing the 3 disks in my back, would have also severely limited the range of motion in my back – I decided: fuck having this surgery done big-time!

The only other option left was to continue treating the pain. So I simply continued treating the pain with nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and narcotic pain meds; and hoping that just like every other time before, that the pain would eventually go away. Months turned into years, but I was still taking the drugs and still suffering from the pain.

Then I had an event that sent me to the ER, the NSAIDs had caused my stomach to start bleeding. The combination of the NSAIDs, and the weak narcotics had been working extremely well in controlling my levels of pain – but now, because this event had been somewhat life threatening, my doctor stopped prescribing the NSAIDs, and he then increased the dose and the strength of the narcotics that I was taking – towards the end of my treatment, and before my doctor had retired, I was having difficulty filling all of the prescriptions that he was writing for me (he was giving me prescriptions for 30 days worth of 4 different narcotics every week). I ended up going to 4 different pharmacies each week; I was visiting at least 10 different pharmacies a month, just to get all of my drugs. By the time that my doctor had retired, my life was a real mess, and I had already started obtaining most of the drugs that I was taking, from a friend of a friend’s sister, who was also a methamphetamine dealer (drugs like oxycodone, oxycontin and other powerful narcotic pills, trade just like cash in the illicit drug world).

About one year after my doctor had retired; I was now spending between 600-800 hundred dollars a week on narcotic pain pills; and I was now totally depended on these drugs; and I was totally unable to function without these drugs.

The funny thing about all of this was, that everyone who was around me, and who knew what I was doing, could all see that I was getting myself into big trouble….that is, everyone except for me – just like being under the influence of any other intoxicating and mind altering substance, one’s perception of reality becomes seriously distorted (I thought that everything was going great, that was until my supply of available pills had been delayed for 5 days).

24 hours without popping pills was not really a big deal – the longest that I had gone without pills in the past was about 48 hours, and no problem at all. However, this time, on day 3 when I awoke, I found myself in full drug withdrawal, and I had never felt as bad as I was feeling, ever before in my life (this has to be the closest that one can get to being in the imaginary place that the Xtians call “hell”).

Later that day, I called my dealer and told her what I was going through; the first thing that she said to me was: “I told you that you were becoming a junky, I warned you.” She then offered to make some calls to see if she could find something that would help me until the pills arrived. She then called me back about ten minutes later, and told me to come over to her house. When I arrived at her house I was sick as “hell,” she introduced me to a Mexican guy that I had already known for many years, and I had also known many other members of his family – however, I never knew that they were a family of heroin dealers – she then handed me a syringe half filled with a brown liquid, and said “sorry baby, but you’re sick, and this is the best that I can do for you right now.”

As I sat there holding this syringe in my hand while talking to our Mexican friend, I learned that his family had been involved in the heroin trade for over 20 years, and that they were involved in every facet from growing the poppies to manufacturing the heroin; and that they only wholesaled large quantities of the drug. He then assured me that I was holding the best heroin that money can buy, and that I didn’t have to worry about that “flesh eating shit.” I had no clue what he was talking about, but I was so sick that I was almost willing to try anything just to feel better.

Still sick as “hell,” and sweating and shaking, I found a blood vessel in my hand, and inserted the needle, and then started injecting this shit into my body. The rush was almost instantaneous, I stopped sweating and shaking; and within 5 minutes, I was feeling better than I had felt in many years. I then looked at the syringe (still sticking out of my hand) and said out loud: “what the fuck, so this is heroin – where have you been all of my life.” I felt as if I had fallen in love again, and for the first time in a longtime; and this shit was a hell of a lot cheaper than the pills that I had been buying; I could buy enough of this shit to last me for a year or more, if I wanted; I had just found the answers, for all of my problems…or so I had thought.

The next 2 years or so just seemed to fly by; I had managed to hide my addiction from my family, and all but my closest friends (who all thought that I had lost my mind….and I had lost my mind!). It was in about the 30th month of my heroin use that my life started falling apart. Before I had managed things by prioritizing the most important things, and then shifting everything else that I had to do, to a more convenient time – the only problem was that my addiction, had started taking priority ahead of most of the other stuff in my life, including all of my main enterprises.

In short, what I was trying to get Jane to understand is that it doesn’t matter how one becomes a drug addict – in the end its all still the same….and what does matter the most is the choices that one makes after they recognize the fact that they have a problem.

The road to recovery from any type of drug addiction can be a long and tough one. And if one doesn’t have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on a rational treatment program, then that road to recovery can extremely long, and most often than not, one will simply find they’re going in circles and ending up right back at the place that they started from – and I’m not all that convinced that many of the expensive treatment programs, are all that better than the irrational ones are. But in the end, what it all really all comes down to is the willingness of the person to change their behavior, and being provided with the right tools to make the change.

The biggest challenge to my recovery was accepting the fact that I had a problem. The next problem that I had facing me was the fact that I didn’t even have a clue about how to began to address my addiction; moreover, I still wasn’t willing to admit to my family that I had a drug problem, and least of which, tell them that I had a heroin addiction. Then the first mistake that I made, was asking the advice of another addict while we were waiting to score some heroin from a dealer – I simply asked him, how in the hell does a person get off of heroin. He looked at me as if he was dumbfounded by my question, and then he replied: “just go into treatment – I’ve been in treatment more than a dozen times, and it has always worked for me – and it will work for you too” he then gave me the phone number to the local detoxification center; he then said: “just give them a call, and they’ll even do all of the paperwork for you.”

It took me a few more months before I made that phone call – I believe that I just couldn’t get past the part about him going into treatment more than a dozen times, and yet, he was still using heroin??? However, nothing in this world of drug addiction seemed very rational to me at the time.

The Detoxification Center:

The staff at the detoxification center was extremely polite and very professional. And despite the fact that they all claimed to be Christians, for the most part, most kept their proselytizing to a minimum. The place was divided into two parts – one part was for “medical detoxification,” and the other part provided a safe place for the addicts to await placement in a treatment program – the staff did an excellent job of finding placement in programs for most of the addicts, considering the limited resources from which they had to work with. And just like the guy who had suggested going to this place as a starting point for my recovery, I was also in and out of this place many times before I was finally assigned to a “treatment program.”

The Treatment Program:

The day that I walked into this program, I had the highest expectations; that I was going learn about all of the new science in our current understanding of chemical dependency; that I would have all of my 40 plus questions about the effects that opium derived drugs have on the body and the brain answered; and moreover, I believed that I would leave this place, armed with at least some kind of new found knowledge, which would help lead me to the path of recovery from my addiction. However, in the 89 days that I stayed at this place, the only thing in which I encountered that could even be considered, as even remotely intuitive in dealing with the issues of addiction, was an old video of a priest talking about alcoholism, and based on information that was from the 1940s and 50s. After the video had ended, a staff member asked if anyone had any questions about what the priest had talked about in the video, no one raised their hands. The only question that popped into my mind was: “I wonder just how many little boys had this guy fucked in the ass in his career as a priest?” but I also remained silent as well.

However, what I was told about drug addiction, was that drug addiction is a “disease,” and that drug use is a moral issue, and that the one suffering from the drug addiction, can never be cured of the “disease” of addiction – and that only some higher-power (Jesus Christ) can treat this disease, and that one can only pray this disease into remission through belief in a higher-power, again: Jesus – they were using superstition, ignorance and stupidity, as the only means of “treating” a very real and serious medical condition. And I was told, that the only way that I can ever be free from my drug use, was by accepting Jesus Christ as my higher-power, and as my Lord and my Savior (I thought that up to that point in my life, that I had seen and heard almost everything; however, at that moment, I realized that my State Government and my tax dollars, had sent me to see a pack of delusional fucking Witchdoctors, for the treatment of my chemical dependency).

Needles to say, I didn’t learn anything useful in this drug treatment program at all – and I soon fell right back into my drug use again. And within a few months, I was right back at the same detoxification center again, and then again – and then one more final time before I realized that I was simply repeating the same old bullshit over and over, and that I was somehow expecting that something would change (magic, higher-powers, and Jesus are not real). I realized that it was me that needed to change – I knew that there just had to be a rational way for treating chemical dependency; and although, I have many friends who are doctors, scientists and other highly educated professionals, but to my surprise, none of them, knew jack-shit about chemical dependency and drug addiction.

Then one of the doctors that I knew, just happened to mention the problems that I was dealing with to another doctor: and according to my friend, the doctor instantly replied: “I know just the person who can help your friend.” So it took about 6 weeks before he could setup a meeting. The day of the meeting, my friend who is doctor with his own office and practice, hired a doctor from a temp agency to cover for him, so that he could personally take me to meet this person. The person that we were meeting that day was a retired doctor from the State of New York, and who was also an addiction medicine specialist.

As I was explaining my problem to him, he cut me off and asked me if I was currently using anything other than heroin – I then told him that the only drug that I was using was heroin, and that I had been using it for about 3-4 years. He then said that was all he needed to know. He then explained why I had failed in all of my other attempts at rehabilitation. He then asked my friend about my background and my level of education, my friend replied: he’s a scientist. He then went on to explain how he had got into addiction medicine – he said that he had been contracted by the U.S. Military go to Asia and help treat military personal who had become addicted to heroin while serving in the Vietnam War – he said that the military was having such a big problem in finding effective ways of treating addiction, and that they didn’t want to deal with the embarrassment of all of these heroin addicts returning back to the States, so the government started a policy of not allowing the addicts to return home from Asia until they were cleaned up.

He then said that all of the other methods that they were trying to use in getting these men clean, had all been just a big failure – like AA, and all of that other hocus-pocus, superstitions and delusional religious fucking bullshit had failed – and the failure rate was well over 90 percent until we got over there with real science and real medicine – he then said:”we turned a 90 percent failure rate, into a 95 percent success rate in just a little over 6 months – and how do you think that they thanked us for all of our effort, they made us sign an agreement not to talk about any of this, once we returned State side” (at that moment, I started crying uncontrollably, I’m not really sure what had caused this emotional outburst, other than the fact that I had finally found someone who I believed could help me).

He then explained how the program works, and how with the help of my friend that I could do the whole thing as a type of self-help thing.

In less than 8 hours that day, I had learned more about heroin addiction than I had learned in the whole of this fucking nightmare. And now, I fully understood why I had failed every time that I had tried to get myself clean, and why Jane’s niece, and why almost every other type of drug user will fail using the first methods that I described. Although it took me almost 2 weeks to read and reread the material that he had gave me, before I fully understood the process, it’s really quite simple – using drugs like heroin, cause changes in the chemistry of the body. There are compounds that can be easily made, that will rapidly cause the reversal of these changes.

I then told Jane that no amount hoping, wishing or praying was going to help her niece turn her life around. And most important – the niece has to want to take the first step towards her own recovery. The main issue in dealing with heroin addiction is the fact that most addicts don’t live long enough to recover from their addictions – and the niece has now been using drugs for about twice as long as I did.

I also explained to Jane the sobering statistics that had really opened up my own eyes – less than 10 percent of the addicts who partake in these superstition based treatment programs, manage to keep their sobriety for the first year – and the ones who manage to keep their sobriety for the first five years, is less than 1 percent – and more than half of those who have managed to keep their sobriety for 5 years or longer, have done so by making their sobriety the paramount facet of their lives (this is not a rational way of recovering from an addiction – but if works for them….then good for them).

I believe that the hardest part of rationally recovering from a drug addiction for Jane to understand, was when she asked me what I was doing to remain drug free – I simply told her that I was doing absolutely nothing; that I had come to realize that only I had the power to end my addiction – and that I had simply made the choice never to abuse drugs again. And that everything that she had been told about drug addiction by those ignorant superstitious morons was simply just a big crock of fucking bullshit.

She then asked me to have a talk with her niece – I reluctantly agreed, and I did in fact talk with her niece (coming in part 3 of this story).

Today, I have been completely drug free for almost 6 years, and I have also learned simple back stretching and strengthening exercises that have been keeping my back pain free for nearly 10 years.

Knowledge combined with rationality, critical thinking and reasoning, will always prevail over religion, superstition, stupidity and ignorance – simply because they are all just different forms of the same thing.

Changing old habits – part 1

Earlier this year, and as the date of the “rapture” was fast approaching, I wrote in a post about how I had become a little concerned over whether or not any of the Christians that I personally knew as friends, had fallen for Harold Camping’s latest of delusional “rapture” cons. One of the friends that I called, who I will call Jane for this post, was extremely shocked over hearing from me. Jane’s sister had told her that she had heard that I had overdosed on drugs, and that I had died about 10 years ago (after joking with her, that I was calling her from “heaven,” I then told her that only part of that story was in fact true – obviously, I am still very much alive, if I am calling you on the phone). Our conversation ended on sort of a happy note – she was very happy to hear from me, and I was happy that she was still around and doing well; however, I was a little disappointed that I didn’t find anyone that I knew, who was even entertaining Harold Camping’s “rapture” bullshit – I was looking for stuff to blog about, and a new story to add to a book that I am currently writing.

Then a few weeks later, as I was checking my voicemail messages on a phone that I seldom use, I found an assortment of new messages from Jane – as I was sitting there in my car listening to her messages, I started wondering just how in the hell she had gotten my phone number. I didn’t remember giving her any of my phone numbers, or her even asking for my phone number, and I thought that my phone was setup to block my number from caller ID?

In one of her messages, she said: “if this is the John who rose from the dead, call me back, Jane.”

Just as I was deleting the last one of her numerous massages, my phone beeped – it was an incoming call from a blocked phone number. So I answered the call, it was Jane – she didn’t even say hello, she started the conversation accusing me of avoiding her calls. I then explained that I seldom even use the phone that she was calling me on, and that I only check for messages about once a week or so, or if I am expecting someone to call.

As she started into her next rant, I realized that I had left the air conditioning on from earlier that day when it was hot, but it was now night, and the air was freezing cold. And for some reason, I said out loud: “man, this fucking AC is freezing my balls off.” Up to that point in “our” conversation, she really hadn’t responded to anything that I had said, but she decided to respond to my freezing outburst.

She replied: “I wish that I was there with you, so that I could warm up your freezing balls” – followed with a deep chuckle.

She then asked me if I could have a look at her car’s AC, she then said that it had quit working last summer about a month after her car’s warranty had expired. I reluctantly answered: sure, and we then made an appointment to meet a few days later.

I arrived about an hour early for our scheduled rendezvous; it wasn’t that I was really enthusiastic about seeing her again after more than ten years – I was more or less trying to decide if I truly wanted to see her again. Although I have known her for more than 30 years, and we had once been real good friends – she was also a part of a chapter in my life’s past, that I prefer to leave behind me. So instinctively, I decided to park about one block away from the location where we were meeting, and then walk back to the place, when I returned back on foot to the location, she drove right up to me, and asked me why I had left the parking lot where we were going to meet (she had arrived even earlier than I had, and she had already seen me).

As I stood there looking at her sitting in her car, she said: “you look almost the same as you did ten years ago” (I thought to myself, you sure as hell don’t look the same as you did the last time that I had seen you). It was at that moment that I realized that it had actually been almost 13 years since the last time that I had seen this woman. She then said: “you were just trying to be slick, weren’t you – you still think that you are so slick, don’t you – now get your ass into this car, boy.”

I then had her drive me back to where I had parked my car so that I could get my tools and start working on the problem that she was having with her car’s AC. I started by looking at the most likely causes – like a blown fuse, a missing belt.., etc. then I used a long wire to jump voltage to the clutch on the AC compressor – the AC came on and worked like a champ. In the end what I had found that had caused the problem, was that she had been pushing the AC switch so hard, that she had damn near pushed the switch through the dashboard (the switch had simply fallen apart). Luckily, I found all of the parts for the switch, and I was able to put it back together.

Her AC was now working again, and she was real happy. As I turned to get out of her car and leave, she said: “wait, wait, and let me pay you something.”

I replied: “no, that’s not necessary, that’s what friendship is all about, isn’t it?”

She then tried to hand me a one hundred dollar bill, and saying, take it, the shop was going to charge me 400 dollars! After I refused her hundred dollar offer, she then said: “well, at least let me give you fifty.” As I sat there silently deciding what my best exit strategy might be, she then grabbed me in sort of a hugging way (like being grabbed by a starving grizzly bear as food) and then she started tickling me – she then shoved the 50 dollars down the front of my pants (I thought, what in the hell does she think that I am – one of those male pole dancers at some damn striper club, or was she just making good on her offer to warm-up my balls?).

As I reached into my pants and started pulling out these bills that were wedged between my leg and my balls, and handing them back to her, she said: “well, at least let my buy you dinner. She then said with a wide grin on her face: “after we eat, we can go to my place and have some drinks, and talk for a while” – (I really used to like this girl, and years ago, I would have done her faster than a cat could lick its own ass; however, at that moment, I felt like that I had just finished wrestling with a 300 pound horny gorilla, and that I had won – I’ve just never been into the big ones).

I then told her that I had already eaten earlier, and that I had quit drinking a few months ago.

She replied: “damn, you don’t do any of that bad stuff anymore – you must have found Jayzus” – (at that moment, I felt like lying and saying: yes, I found Jesus, and that I had also joined the priesthood – so keep your hands off of me).

I then told her that I hadn’t found either “Jayzus” or “Jesus,” or any other fictional deities, and that the only thing that I had “found,” was a way of rediscovering me again.

She then got this real sad look on her face, and she started telling me about how her niece had started using drugs and alcohol at about the age of 16 and just how fucked up her life is today. She told me that her niece had been in and out of jails and drug treatment programs many times over the last 10 years, and that she had only managed to stay drug and alcohol free for short amounts of time, and only when she was attending church and working her 12 step AA/NA program. But then as soon as she stopped going to church and stopped attending her AA/NA meetings, within a few weeks, and just like clockwork, she would always start back using drugs and alcohol again. She then said that both her pastor and her AA/NA sponsor, had told her that her niece has a disease, which can only treated through “Jesus’ love,” and adherence to the 12 step program of AA/NA. So both Jane and her sister are currently trying to get the niece back into treatment again.

She then asked me if I am still an atheist, then just how had I gotten myself off of drugs, and what was I doing today to stay drug free, and if I had any advice that might help her niece stop using drugs, and help her stay off drugs.

This is only the second time that I have revealed this story to anyone. The first time was when I asked the advice of a friend if he thought rationality might help someone who carries the mind-virus recover from drug addiction. His only comment was: “John, you are a pussy – if I were in your shoes that day, I would have taken the 100 dollars – and I also would have fucked that fat bitch.”

Many years ago while attending a lecture on the subject of Astrophysics in the hall of local university; I met one of the most interesting Astrophysicists that I had met to date. The main subject of the speaker that evening was exploring why the observed rotation of the stars in some galaxies, didn’t seem to be following the laws of gravity contained in the Theory of Relativity. And at the close of the lecture, many of us started to mingle around the hall, and then breaking off into smaller groups. as I circulated around the small groups of scientists, while seeking clarification of one of the points that was leading to this new theory, while at the same time, I was trying to remain discreet as to not come off sounding like a complete moron, I found myself ending up in a debate with about 6 others over the subject of the Greek God(s).

I thought that at some point in the discussion, that I might be able to slip in my question, and without looking like a idiot – and as those who were engaged in the other debates started spilling outside of the hall, we all decided to head off to a nearby bar for drinks and to continue our discussion.

When our discussion resumed at the bar, I found this guy’s knowledge of Greek Mythology simply fascinating. You could name a Greek God, and this guy could tell you everything about that particular God, and even give you the timeline in Greek history. This guy had been involved in researching the connections between the old God(s) of Greek Mythology, and the New-God(s) of the desert, and their shared attributes for about 20 years – and the timeline of when these old God(s) of Greek Mythology, had began morphing into the new God(s) of the desert – including the new Jewish "God" in the bible, and his "son" "Jesus" came into being as well.

At some point in our conversation, one of the other guys in our group asked a simple but relevant question: he wondered just how many of those who proclaim to be Christians, actually understand that their entire religion evolved from mythology, including the God(s) from a whole host of other dead-religions? As we were all sitting there at the bar, while pondering his question, two other guys who seemed to have been overhearing our conversation while playing pool, slammed down their pool sticks on the on the pool table, and then they approached our group – one of them exclaiming: “what are you assholes saying, that my god isn’t real?” at this point, the bartender who had also been engaged in our conversation, and knew both of these guys by their first names, told both of them that they could either join in the conversation in a civil manner, return to their pool game, or get the fuck out of the bar. The one who had responded then said: ‘I’ll just leave then, before I start kicking some devil worshiping ass” – note; there was no mention of “Satan” or “Devils” at any time in our conversation?

The Christian, who remained, sat there listening intensively to our discussion, while the bartender explained that he had never even thought of doing this of type research, and he didn’t even know that the history of all those other 1000s of gods was even available. He then said that he had become interested enough to look into this matter himself.

Meanwhile, the pool playing Christian, who had joined in our discussion had become visible upset – he then exclaimed: “all of that stuff that was written about all of those other gods, was written by Satan to fool us into questioning whether or not Jesus is the one true god,” and he warned the bartender, that even doing that type of research, would mean that he would be questioning the truth of our one true god (Jesus). And that questioning would land him in hell.

I learned that night that you simply can’t logically debate reality with someone of religious faith when their only arguments come from emotions, and most are not even willing to look at real facts.

I ran into the bartender a few months later in a health-food and supplement store on the same AVE. as the bar was located. He thanked me and the others, for opening up his eyes to the reality that his Christian faith was based around nothing more than old stories being told as new and true stories – and that he now understands that there are no true gods - there are only true cods!

Have any of you had a similar experience – and would you try and engage in debate with someone as deluded as the pool playing Christian….I didn’t?

What would you call someone who believes that gay people are “caught in the clasp of Satan?”

Despite threats of a boycott, Home Depot chairman Frank Blake has refused to bow down to the American Family Association’s demand that the retail giant stop sponsoring gay events.

The AFA's executive vice president, Buddy Smith, attended a Home Deport board meeting Thursday to present Blake with a petition bearing almost half a million signatures of those who say they’ll stop shopping at the home improvement store until the company opts to "remain neutral in the culture war."

Smith told Bryan Fischer that Blake responded by reiterating Home Depot’s commitment to promoting diversity and vowing to “continue down the very track they’re going.”

My hat’s off to Frank Blake, for refusing to bow down to the demands of this superstitious moron and hateful homophobic and deluded Christian cretin. Frank Blake is the chairman and CEO of The Home Depot. Buddy Smith is the vice president of the American Family Association (AFA) -- a conservative organization that supports a constitutional amendment defining marriage as strictly between a man and a woman.

The AFA’s use of fear and hate mongering, and outright lies and deception, in their efforts to remodel the nation into their version or vision of a “Christian nation,” and a Christian nation which conforms to their deluded worldview, is nothing new. In 2007, the AFA vehemently opposed the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act (Senate Bill 909), while falsely claiming that the law would in effect, make illegal all of the anti-gay hate speech that was currently being spouted from the pulpit – and that even the use of “man and woman,” could become a hate crime.

So what would you call someone who believes that gay people are “caught in the clasp of Satan?” I believe that we should view these deluded cretins in the same light as we would view someone standing in the town square 500 years ago, and proclaiming that the town was under an evil attack from “witches,’ and demanding that we start burning the “witches,” in an effort to rid the town of the evil; these ignorant people are deluded – and as rational thinking people, we need to stop giving any credence to their superstitious and deluded bullshit – lest we find ourselves being tied to stakes, alongside all of the other new “witches” (freethinking atheist and gay “witches”). Frank Blake did in fact give no credence to the threats of the boycott poised by the AFA’s Buddy Smith, and his list of the “500,000” other hateful, superstitious and deluded Christian idiots and morons. And in essence saying: “fuck you, and fuck your hateful and ignorant delusion, and fuck the horse that you rode in on” – well, at least, that’s how I would have responded.

Most of my Christian friends are ”rapture” proof, how about yours?

Over the past few months, I have made it a point to call some of my longtime Christians friends. Some of these folks, I had not spoken with in many years – I had become concerned about my Christians friends, after hearing about all of the stories about how some Christians had been quitting their jobs and not paying their rent and mortgages because they had become convinced that they were about to take up a new residency in “heaven” with “Jesus;” and I wondered just how many of my friends had bought into this latest of rapture delusion?

Of the 4 of my Christian friends that I have talked with, only two of them had even heard about this May 21 date with “Jesus” (I started wondering if they had been living under a rock?). One of my friends stated that he had outgrown his childish beliefs in the Christian myth, and all of the silly magic – like virgins giving birth, and dead folks rising, and heaven and hell and the likes; however, he made it a point to tell me that he still believes in a “god” – just not the “god,” in the bible???

One of my friends who I had not spoken with in about 10 or 11 years, said that she had heard that I was dead, and that I had died over ten years ago (I guess that I should contact my Christian friends more often?). I joked with her and said that I had became a Christian about ten years ago, and that I had been a part of the pre-rapture program, and that I was taken up to heaven about a week ago, and that I was calling her from heaven to make sure that she was ready for her May 21 date with “Jesus.” The sad part of this story is the fact that at first, she believed me??? And she is not your garden variety, uneducated and ignorant Christian, she’s a School Teacher???

She told me that she didn’t really believe that “Jesus” was “coming back” on Saturday – but she then said: “you can never be 100 percent sure about these kinds of things either – no one knows the date, not even Jesus knows the date of his own return – so it’s always better to play it safe; so I’ll be praying extra hard this weekend.”

I have to admit that I was somewhat disappointed that I couldn’t find a single one of my Christian friends, who were preparing for the May 21 “rapture.” However, that fact in and of its self, is the main reason why I consider these folks as my friends in the first place – I have always tried to distance myself from the more deluded Christians that I have known. I tried to explain to my Christian friend that she can in fact know the date of the rapture; and that the date of the real “rapture,” will be on the 12th of never. I told her that this latest of dates, of the hundreds of other rapture dates that folks were sure that the world would end, was derived from the mythical story of the “great flood” written in the buy-bull, and using some kind of weird math, and by a very mentally ill and deluded man.

The sad reality is the fact that some folks did in fact buy into this totally contrived and big load of horse-shit – there are those who carry this brain-rotting mind-virus of delusion, who stopped making plans for anything worldly post the May 21 “rapture.” They have in fact quit their jobs and stopped paying their rent and mortgage – some even sold their homes and used their life savings to buy space on billboards announcing the May 21 date of the “rapture.” Some have even been traveling for months now (whole families in tow) and spreading the “good news” of the coming “rapture” – some even taking their children out of school. And the sad reality is, on Sunday, some of these folks will have nothing to go back to – as they have sold everything that they owned.

As far as I know, most of my Christian friends will sail right through today’s “rapture” unaffected by this latest of Christian insanity – how about your Christian friends? Do you know anyone who fell for this “rapture” bullshit? And do we need new laws to protect those who carry this brain-rotting mind-virus of delusion from their own stupidity? And should Harold Camping be prosecuted? I’d be willing to bet that some of his willfully ignorant victims will be breaking out the pitchforks and the torches, and then heading for California!

Why are so many Christians, so hell bent on creating controversy in scientific subjects like evolution, when in fact, within the real scientific community, there is absolutely no other competing scientific theory that can even raise a single formidable argument against evolution as being a fact? I believe the answer is quite simple, science (knowledge), which proves that all of the complex life forms that we currently see here on earth today (including humans), all evolved from simpler life forms and over billions of years – and then that fact, simply lays to waste those silly and deluded, childlike stories of creation contrived and written in the bible by ignorant man. In the real scientific community, any essence of truth contained in these latest of creation fairytales contained within the bible, have long ago been debunked and put to rest -- and this new “god” in the “bible,” has now also taken its proper place alongside the countless other silly figments of mans imagination, and the ones derived from his own pure and unadulterated ignorance – Thor, Zeus, Ra…, etc, have all been consigned to the scrapheap for man’s worthless ideas, and now the fact is that science has now reserved a special place right beside them for both the new “god” and his “son” “jesus.”

Why is it so hard for Christians to accept the scientific fact that humans and apes all evolved from a common ancestor? They believe that this latest one of the 1000s of god(s) that have been contrived over human history by man, simply created man in his own image, and created man and everything including the whole universe, and all within 6 days. When in fact, science has found no evidence for any single one of the 1000s of god(s), of which the only premise for their existence, are all only rooted in fantasy and superstition contrived from the human mind – the facts are that science is real, and god(s) are not real; however, reality means very little within the minds of deluded.

The fact is that science will never again turn to god(s) in seeking answers or truth – we will never again turn to the bible for answers when confronted with a pandemic or an outbreak of a new disease. Through science we now have an understanding of what causes medical conditions such as epilepsy, and we no longer prescribe “treatments” like exorcisms and other superstitious bullshit, which were all derived from religion and the ignorant bullshit that man had written in the bible. Yet, there are those who simply can’t accept the fact that the world has moved on – the distance between our understanding of the world 2000 years ago, and our current understanding of our world through science today, can only be expressed in light-years.

So just how far will the most profoundly deluded of those who carry this mind rotting virus of ignorance and stupidity go, in resisting the reality that their religious beliefs are based on nothing more than ignorant and mindless bullshit? They have simply become willfully deceitful and started telling outright lies -- they are now claiming Albert Einstein as a Christian:

The facts are that even some of the new religious have moved away from these simply childlike arguments that the creation myth in the bible somehow holds equal weight against the real science of evolution. Even the catholic church that had resisted any and all science which had conflicted with its own “divine authority” in these matters, has accepted the science of evolution as a fact, and in less time that it took them to accept the reality that they were wrong about the earth being flat, and an earth centric universe, or the fact that pathogens, and not fucking “demons,” are the cause of sickness.

What is currently going on in the Tennessee House of Legislation (Tennessee House of Delusion) is appalling on so many levels. For one, creationism is not by any stretch of the imagination a real science – creationism is a fixed set of false beliefs (delusion), which are solely based on non-testable conjecture written in an old book of other fairytales (the bible); and fairytales that real science has already laid to rest many times over.

My higher power stuffed sheep’s ass is back on his job again after returning from a well deserved vacation, and again, he’s ready to do my biding. About a month ago, he warned me that something real funky had entered into the mix with this lottery thing, and not to play again until he sent me a sign – he returned last Sunday, and I won over 400.00 dollars that day. Then Monday as my friend and I were leaving a restaurant after eating lunch, and as we were driving down the road, my friend started complaining about the smell of burning Sulfur that had somehow entered into his car. About that same time, we both started hearing a sheep barking loudly, we both heard: “Baaaaa, Baaaaa, Baaaaa,” and right in front of us, was one of the same store chains were I had purchased most of my other winning lottery tickets. So we pulled into the parking lot, parked and entered the store, and found the lottery vending machine – and at the same time, there was a guy pushing his shopping cart past me, and the front wheel on the cart started spinning around in circles and making a sound like a sheep barking, I heard: “Baaaaa, Baaaaa, Baaaaa.” So just like all of the other times before, I pulled two 20s out of my pocket – and by now, you already know the rest of the story!

Dead Alien footage caught on video in Siberia?

The footage which was taken in Irkutsk, which is located in the south of Siberia features a two foot high decomposed corpse of an alien looking creature with a missing limb has taken YouTube by storm with over 1 million views.

The validity of the footage remains uncertain however most You Tube viewers have expressed their concern over whether the creature is of biological origin or rubber origin.

The footage follows last month’s mass sightings of a UFO (In a location where there are unusually high numbers of UFO sightings) flying towards the area where the ‘body’ was found.

London, April 20: Two walkers have claimed to have found a dead body of an alien in frozen wastes of Siberia and posted the video on the Internet.

On its side with its mouth slightly agape, the slender, badly-damage body lies half-buried in snow close to Irkutsk, Russia.

The area is a known UFO hotspot and video of the alien's corpse has become a massive worldwide hit with hundreds of thousands of followers after being posted on the Internet.

The corpse of the badly-damaged creature which resembles ET is 2ft-high.art of the right leg is missing and there are deep holes for eyes and a mouth in a skull-like head.

UFO fans believe the body could have been left behind by ET visitors after an accident, or missed by Russian military alien experts clearing up after a crash.

It follows reports of a UFO hurtling towards Earth in the nearby Irkutsk region of Siberia one month ago.

"We couldn't believe it when we saw it. And what was spooky is that there was no sign of the spaceship. Perhaps that was taken away and the body overlooked," the Daily Mail quoted Igor Molovic, one of the pair that uploaded the video, as saying.

Nearly 700,000 people have now seen the clip within a few days.

Cynics, however, claim the video is a fake using a carefully staged model for the alien's body.

I was a baby and you baptized me. I was a young child and you brainwashed and deluded me. I was a young prepubescent boy, and you ass and mouth raped me; and you warned me that if I said anything about it, that I would burn in hell forever – and now you’re blaming me, for what you did to me?

President of the catholic league Bill Donohue, stopped short of blaming the young victims for the child sex abuse scandal that is now growing even faster than a priest’s erection, when he’s alone with young boys. In a full-page ad in the New York Times entitled "Straight Talk about the Catholic Church," Donohue proclaims: “let's get it straight—they weren't children and they weren't raped.” Donohue goes on to say: “more than three-quarters of the victims were post pubescent, meaning the abuse did not meet the clinical definition of pedophilia.”

Donohue then infers that the real issue is not pedophile priests preying on young children, the real issue here is homosexuality? He tries to make a distinction between the rapes of prepubescent children, and the molestations of older children by priests, who might or might not yet have started puberty? The onset of puberty in most boys begins at about age 12; however, most boys don’t reach sexual maturity until they’re midway through adolescence – and even in the catholic world of make-believe and delusion, 12 year old boys are not “post pubescent” – but what in the hell does that matter anyway. The sexual maturity of the children is not even a real issue, the real issue is the fact that these sick and deluded priests, preyed on young children for their own sexual gratification.

Donohue also claims that most of the accusations of priestly child abuse are fraud. Donohue complains that whenever there are new accusations in one diocese, they are followed by a wave of accusations elsewhere??? He points out that most of the recent accusations of priestly sexual child abuse, are all alleged to have happened many years ago, and "When $225,000 is dished out to a Michigan man who claims he was abused in the 1950s by a priest who died in 1983—and the diocese admits the accusation is unsubstantiated—it encourages fraud" (this is simply the way that most of this type of sexual abuse comes to light – the flood gates have now been opened wide, and this is now a global flood, and the catholic church is now drowning in a sea of depravity).

The levels of ignorance, stupidity, delusion and willful deception are just mindboggling in Donohue’s statements in this ad – and his complete total lack of empathy for the victims is simply appalling, and only reflects the position that the church has held every since its conception . The Catholic Church as a whole has shown little remorse and has instead only tried to defend itself. Instead of addressing and dealing with the fact that this sea of delusion attracts sexual deviants and predators who prey on young children -- they simply choose to move these sick priests from parish to parish, cover up the abuse, and then deny that there was even a problem – this has been going on for as long as this evil and corrupt organization has existed.

Most of the educated catholics will quickly point out the fact that Donohue doesn’t officially speak for the “holy sea,” but almost none will denounce him?

Bilberry – better than having “Jesus” in a bottle:

As far back as I can remember I have had extremely poor night vision. Then as I have gotten older, my overall vision has been in steady decline, and I had simply accepted that I would be needing eyeglasses soon - and real soon. Then about 5 months ago, a friend suggested that I try bilberry extract; I had heard about bilberry many times before over the years, and about how some folks claimed that it had helped their vision, and even allowed some to retire their eyeglasses. I have always been a little skeptical about these types of claims, like peach pits curing cancer, or "Jesus" raising the dead. However, my vision had gotten so bad, that I was almost willing to try anything (“Jesus” aside) that was safe to avoid wearing eyeglasses. So I decided to give bilberry a try.

I took the first dose of bilberry at about 7pm on a Tuesday, the next day I took 3 doses – about every 6 hours. When I awoke on Thursday, I didn’t notice any improvements in my vision. Then that night, my vision started improving, and by the next night, my vision had improved big-time – I was able to see and read words and numbers about five times further than I could that past Monday (things were so bright that I started getting a headache). Then that weekend, I was at home and decided to watch a movie on my HDTV; I turned off the lights, and when the movie started, the colors were so brilliant and bright that it was almost irritating me – my color recognition, was better than any other time in my life, and for the first time since I was in my 20s, I could differentiate between colors like red and orange – I couldn’t even believe the improvements myself. So I decided to buy a new HDTV.

Then about 2 weeks later, one of my fingers that I had lost the feeling in, after I had severely injured it about 4 years ago, started aching and hurting. About a week later, the feeling in my finger was completely restored. And today my hearing is better than it has been in many years – today I almost feel like I have been “reborn.”

I was going to do a post about this stuff back in January, however, I decided to wait and see just how long the effects would last. From what I have read, and from my personal experience, bilberry seems to repair nerve damaged, as well as do other good stuff. For at least the last 10 years or so, I could only read small print like in a news paper, if I held the print about 18 inches from my face (it was like my eyes had a fixed focal point, but the print was still blurry at times). Today however, I can read almost any size print, and the contrast between the print and the paper in simply incredible. I can even read the real small print over a wide range of distance.

I have discovered that bilberry works really great for most of the people who take it; however, it can cause side effects when taking some medications. Bilberry can lower both blood pressure and blood sugar, as it did in my case. But I had started taking it at the same time that I had started taking medication for those same problems. And today I don’t believe that the most severe side effects that I have been having, were being caused by the bilberry, but being caused by one of the other medications that I am taking – so next week I will be changing that med.

I would strongly recommend talking with your Doctor if you are taking medication to control blood pressure, blood sugar or both. However, neither of my Doctors had even heard of it before.

The only brand of bilberry that I have found that actually works is the Natures Way brand – I tried at least 3 other (cheaper) brands, but none of them work at all. I started out taking two of the capsules 3 times a day, which worked just great. I even stopped taking it for a week, and I was still seeing, feeling and hearing about the same. But it was recommended that I continue to take it every day, so I do.

What I have found that works best for me, is I now take 2 of the standardized bilberry capsules with 1 of Natures way’s other products (Vision) twice daily.

I grew up constantly hearing about the “good news,” and about just how loving and wonderful their “god” was, and just how wonderful all of “god’s” “creations” were. I had heard that god had “created” the universe and the earth, and all within 6 days, simply by speaking; and I had heard that everything which “god” had created, had a purpose and a reason, and that “god” had seen all of his work as being good, great even -- everything was a part of “god’s” plan, or so I was told.

Then one day when a friend and I, were watching one of those Sunday Christian nature shows on television about fish, a little fish who used a spot on their fins (the red drum fish) that looked like an eye, to fool the bigger fish who were trying to eat them into believing that their fin was actually their head, and then when the bigger fish tries to attacks the smaller fish’s fin, the smaller fish simply laughs, and says: “I fooled you, you big stupid fish,” and then the little fish swims away (okay, this was of those Sunday morning Christian TV shows for young children – we were both about 10 or 11 years of age at the time).

The narrator went on to say that “god” had “created” this little fish and gave the fish the spot on its fin, so that the fish could use its little gift to escape from larger predators – and just like “god” had given humans legs so we could run away from danger (god had designed this fish, and his fin). Both this kid and his grandmother exclaimed: “wow, god is so smart, and “he’s” so great – what man could have ever thought of doing that?”

Even at the young age of ten, I had already totally dismissed the biblical story of “creation,” and the story of the “great flood,” and the story of the” virgin-born” “savior” as being totally contrived bullshit. However, I hadn’t yet, totally dismissed the notion that some other “god-like” being might exist, but I found this fish story, was just a little too fishy for me to believe – but for most noncritical “thinking” Christians, “god” did it was the only true answer – and then if one would question “god’s” handy little fish work, then they ask: “if god didn’t do it, then who did?” And even at age ten, I found this “then who did it" question, was the wrong question to be asking, the more logical question would be what caused this fish to have this spot in the first place, and why? However, most devout Christians believe that questioning any of “god’s” “infallible” “word” is a “sin,” and a “sin” that will earn you a one-way trip to “hell” (you wouldn’t believe how many times that I was told that I would be burning in “hell,” and simply for questioning the deluded bullshit that is written in the bible).

This fishy situation was one of the things that drove my interests in science. I wanted to learn just how this fish had gotten this spot, and understand why – and what was the big deal about a fish having a spot on its fin in the first place – and not simply believe that some fucking “god’ did it. It would take me a few more years before I fully understood why this fish has this spot, and the answers were even simpler than “god did it.’ The spot on this fish’s fin is simply the result of a gene mutation that happened in one its ancestors eons ago. This gene mutation was then passed on to its offspring and then passed on to their offspring and so on. And because this spot fooled so many of this spotted fish’s predators, more of the spotted fish were able to live to maturity, and then pass on the spot causing gene; the populations of spotted fish, then exploded – while the populations of none spotted fish declined (the spot is simply a favorable mutation - natural selection, and the survival of the fittest, or the survival of the trickiest at work, and not the work of some “god”). Is this fish even aware of the functionality of the spot on its fin? Hell no, its not, it’s just a hell of a lot easier escaping from an attack from the rear, than one from the front!

How do I know that this is a better explanation than “god did it,” because its backed up by years and years of research and countless observations – in the end, I had learned more about fish than I had even wanted to know.

There is a big difference between telling children how and what to believe, and teaching them how to learn and understand. But thinking is not held as a big asset within religion; questioning god’s word is seen as being rebellious and as an evil sin – and to some teaching evolution is one of the greatest sins of them all. They fear that children will actually start thinking for themselves, and start realizing that all of that deluded bible bullshit that has been forced upon them every since birth through fear, has all just been simply a pack of deluded lies – this is why child indoctrination is so important to the survival of the Christian-cult – just let them walk up to a well educated Japanese teen, and start spewing that deluded Christian bullshit at them (the 6,000 year old earth, dirt-man and rib-woman, the virgin-born savior…,etc…. and they’ll be in for a rude fucking awakening).

Our earth is very unique from all of the other planets in our solar system, and not just because it’s the only planet in the solar system which is known to support life. It’s unique because most of its core is comprised of extremely heavy elements that were forged within massive stars eons ago. These heavy elements, as well as the lighter elements, were all ejected into space after the former stars had died in massive explosions. One of the other things that make our earth unique, are that soon after the earth was formed, a large object (possibly another planet) collided with the earth and penetrated the earth right down to its core, which then ejecting about 1/3 of the total mass of the earth into outer space – this is believed to be how our moon was formed.

From its very beginning, the earth was a molten lifeless planet floating in space – for millions upon millions of years as the earth cooled somewhat, and as the earth was forming its outer crust, it was also being constantly bombarded with objects from space including asteroids and meteorites – it is believed that most of the water here on earth, was delivered via these impacts. From the very beginning, the earth has been a very violent and chaotic place for life to exist – we live on an ever changing planet; we live on the surface of a living planet floating on top of a sea of molten matter - one might say that the earth is simply a big furnace powered by the radioactive decay of the recycled star matter from which the earth was formed. Our earth has been shaped and reshaped many times over the eons by these same forces, and these same forces will continue to change the earth for at least the next few billion years, until the time when our sun begins running out of fuel and starts expanding, at which time it will engulf the inner planets, including the earth (this might come as a comforting thought to some of us to know that some of the atoms, which comprise our own bodies today, may help fuel a future star – or that our atoms might even become a part of some other living creature someday in the future as well).

These same forces that have shaped our world as we see it today; are the same Forces which have driven the evolution of all life here on our planet. And life only exists today because we are currently living in a period of relative calm on an otherwise very violent and chaotic planet. The fact is that everything within the whole universe is constantly moving and changing – everything is headed somewhere, and nothing stays the same; everything is in constant motion; and the earth is simply a microcosm of the universe as a whole. Relevant to our own geological time, it’s easy for some of us to conceive, that everything within reality was made just for us, when in reality, we only exist as a consequence of our current geological time, and the fact that we haven’t had any major extinction level events since the last one which occurred 65 million years ago, that killed off the dinosaurs; although there have been many minor such events, and some of these events have even been catastrophic.

These same forces of nature which keeps everything in motion here on earth, including all of the continents (via continental drift) are the same forces that cause the earthquakes and volcanic eruptions – again, everything in the universe is in constant motion and going somewhere, with the exception of religion – for years, I have compared the beliefs of all three of the major religions, with those of the beliefs of the volcano theists, and anyone who believes that their "god" caused the recent earthquake in Japan, and killed tens of thousands people, and simply to show all of us none believers, just who is in charge – those sick, ignorant and deluded people, need to be institutionalized and treated for their mental illness – they are the ones who elect these same sick and deluded leaders, who believe that everything that happens here on earth, is the plan of some "god," and we are all simply along for the ride until "jesus" "returns." The Japanese leaders knew full well, that Japan is located in one of the most seismically active zones on the planet – and despite knowing this fact; they decided to roll the dice and build nuclear reactors anyway. If we can only learn one thing from these tragic events unfolding today in Japan, I hope that we will learn that we are impart in control of our own destiny, and if we don’t change this ignorant mindset that some "god" placed us all here on earth, simply to test our worthiness as ignorant and mindless sheep, and if we don’t start speaking out in opposition when our allies engage in such reckless activities as building nuclear reactors in these types of unstable areas – and if we don’t stop dictating our environmental policies based on a book of old deluded fairy tales, (god made a promise to an 800 year old man; so it’s Ok to keep pumping carbon into the atmosphere, and finding other ways of fucking up the planet because “jesus” will return soon, so it won’t matter anyway) then the only place where we will all be headed is to “hell” in a fucking hand basket!

And after the death of Jerry Falwel, I’ve been finding it harder and harder, to find my fix – it’s sad enough when bad shit happens, but it even makes the event sadder, when some deluded moron proclaims that "god" had caused an earthquake which killed people, simply because Muslim woman are showing too much skin in public (showing both eyes, instead of just one), or he starts killing people, simply to remind them to love each other???

After the devastating earthquake hit Japan; Gordon Robertson proclaimed live during a Regent University preview session after a New Jersey audience member had asked him, whether the frequency of earthquakes were a sign of the End Times and if so, what he should do?

This goes without question, that the old saying is in fact true: “the fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

Can someone believe that a cosmic ghost, impregnated a young virgin girl with his son (or impregnated the young girl with himself, depending on which brand of this deluded story that one subscribes), and still be logical and reasonable in other facets of their lives?

I first asked this question in an article that I posted back in the 1990s, after reading a story about a child who had died, because their Christian parents had placed their faith in “jesus,” instead of seeking medical care for their sick child – and after seeing the interview of the parents, and seeing just how ignorant and deluded that they were, I also wrote in the same article, that I wouldn’t even expect that people who live that far from reality, to be logical and reasonable, in any other facets of their lives either.

It only took about 15 minutes after I had posted the article, before the death threats started pouring into my website, along with the comments from many other Christians, proclaiming that not all Christians are as stupid as those Christian parents, in the case of their sick child. I believed at the time, that most of these Christian readers, simply had thought that I was making these statements about all Christians in general – and I was not; and I had even posted another article, further explaining my position, and where I was coming from with my post, and asking them, why they were just attacking me, and not even addressing the real issue of my post – and then the subject of most of the comments changed. Most started defending the parent’s rights to do whatever they thought was best for their child, and that it was none of my fucking business, how Christian parents raise their children.

The main point of my second post on this subject, was the question why is it that most Christians, are so unwilling to criticize any behavior which is labeled as being Christian, and even when that behavior, results in the death of a child. Some of these folks, even tried to convince me, that the child’s death had nothing to do with the actions of the parents, or that it was simply the will of “god” (I wondered why they would believe that a “god,” would want a child to be born, just so they can develop diabetes, and then die because the parents refused medical treatment for the child – that’s god’s will – WTF!!!). I had even started wondering, if I had somehow failed to clearly make the point, that the only reason that this child was dead, was because of the actions of the parents – I even asked my friends, if they could understand the point that I was making; they all said that my point was clear as daylight, and that they had no problem understanding that the actions of the parents, had caused the death of this child.

Could it be that some Christians, simply, really don’t live within the same realm of reality as most of us do? In my worldview, and in the reality in which I live, snakes and asses don’t talk, and young virgin girls, don’t give birth to babies, and the dead don’t rise; however, most often when you confront Christians as to why they believe as truth, such silly and utter nonsense, instead of simply answering, most try and convince you, that you are simply misunderstanding these issues; and this is one of the facets of this mind-virus, that I find the most appalling – some Christians, will even spend hours trying to convince you, that you just don’t understand the meaning of all of those horrible stories, which are written in the bible – like the one when their “god,” “flooded” the earth, and then murdered all of those innocent men, women and children; they even tell this horrible, sick and morbid story to little children, and paint it as being warm and fuzzy, and they try and convince you, that you just don’t understand the story.

We all know that the Tea Party, is filled to the rafters with ignorant and deluded, uneducated and just plain stupid idiots and morons, and one only needs to look at the party’s leadership, to fully understand why the Tea Party, is the party of stupid.

Yesterday, I broke a promise that I had made to myself, about 3 years after I had first started writing and posting stories on the internet back in the 1990s, that I would never write about my opinions on such issues as Governmental conspiracies, and this was after I wrote an article refuting a post about AIDS being planted in Africa – some fucking nut had posted this silly story, and he claimed that he had evidence that the U.S government had planted AIDS in Africa, and I spent over a year debunking his “evidence.” Then yesterday while responding to comments, I got into the position again, only this time, I was the one wearing the tinfoil cap. So, Sbj,1964, to further clarify what I am saying and where I am coming from – I learned about this facet of earth science, from the best data that was available back in the 1970s and early 1980s on the earth’s atmosphere – information in textbooks which was complied well before the start of the “space-race,” and the so called race between the USA and the Soviets, to land a man on the moon. After the start of the “space-race,” the importance of beating the Soviets, in a race to be the first to land a man on the moon was being sold to the American people, as a thing of national pride. However, this race was never about pride, or being the first to make it to the moon. With the Soviet’s success of Sputnik, our Government realized for the first time, just how far that we were behind the Soviets in our space program and technologies.

After WWII, and we had started all of this “in god we trust” bullshit, and this one nation under fucking “god” bullshit, and had stopped teaching our children real math and science, and had started creating little brain-dead Christian-sheep – in the 1950s, our “Sputnik moment,” was when we realized, that while we were becoming just a nation of ignorant and deluded, and brain-dead Christian-sheep; the god-less Soviets, were kicking our asses in both math and science, and had beaten us into space.

And in the 1970s and 80s, when this disinformation had even started spreading into the science textbooks, I then became more and more disinterested in science also –you see, I was taught science by old-school scientists; and I was taught to be skeptical – you see, science must always be tested and retested, and not just simply believed – simply believing something because someone says it’s true, is the position of faith and ignorance, and held in religion, and not a position held within science – and this is the main reason why teaching real science, is such a detriment to religion, as no critically thinking person, could ever come to believe, that a ghost fucked a little girl, and this virgin-girl, then gave birth to a magical “savior,” who was then killed, but then after 3 days, his stinking and rotting corpse arose, and then walked among the living.

My position which I expressed on the subject of whether or not we did in fact land a man on the moon back in the 1960s, was derived from the best scientific information and data that was available back in the early 60s, and it was the opinion of all of the scientists that I knew back in the 1970s, that it couldn’t be done at the time, and impart because of the deadly levels of radiation, that the astronauts would encounter in outer space. And I have yet to see, any new credible data, which conflicts with the old information and data. The only thing that has changed, is the fact that our Government, now says that we did in fact go to the moon; however, the supporting data for refuting the previous data, is simply missing – the information in the science books has simply changed, and without any supporting scientific data.

I am not saying that the moon landing was all just simply propaganda and fucking lies; however, the way the Government starting all of these disinformation campaigns, we now have people believing that the government is hiding fucking Aliens in the state of Nevada. And anyone who is skeptical and questions any of the pure bullshit that our Government says, is now being labeled as a conspiracy nut, and seen in the same light as those who believe that government is hiding fucking Aliens.

It seems that we didn’t learn anything from our first "Sputnik crisis," as we have again allowed religion to pollute our Government, and again stopped educating our children, and simply telling them what to think and believe. Since the 1980s, we have created a nation of folks so fucking ignorant and deluded, that we now have these TV preaching con-artists and fucking thieves, making millions of dollars off selling magical spring-water, and all sorts of other, pure religious bullshit – and again, we are trying change our data and history in our textbooks – and if these ignorant fucking Christians here in America, don’t wake up real fucking soon, the only master that they will be serving will be a corporate master, and while they work for low wages, and with no fucking benefits.

Are We Alone in the Universe?

As far back as I can remember I would look up at the stars and wonder, just how many earth like planets that just might be out there orbiting these billions upon billions of stars. And how many of them just might have life-forms, or even have intelligent life living on them. Back in the 1970s, when I started learning about science and cosmology, through science we already had a real good understanding of how the stars were formed, including how our own star was formed – and it was believed that just about every star in the universe was formed just like our own sun. So I wondered, just how many of these stars might had formed planets out of the leftover dust and gas clouds, just like our own solar system had formed.

Back in the 1970s and 80s, we hadn’t yet developed the technologies needed to detected planets orbiting any other star outside of our own solar system; however, through science, we were almost certain that there were many other planets out there and countless other solar systems.

Then in 1995, with the discovery of the first planet orbiting a star outside of our own solar system – that added weight to another idea in which I firmly believe – that anywhere in the universe where the conditions are just right for life to exists, it most likely does exist. But what kind of life is the only question?

I personally believe that the odds of us finding other human-like life forms living on other earth-like worlds are not all that great. But still, I personally believe that the universe is simply seething with life forms, and including intelligent life. The odds that the conditions here on earth which have allowed us to evolve into what we are today, also happening anywhere else in the universe, are very slim, but not totally out of the question. And if intelligent life did or does exist, did they ever move beyond the current state that we are in today? And if so, how long did it take them to become rational, and move beyond their myths and silly religious superstitions?

One thing which goes without question is the fact that in the last 100 years, we have gained more real knowledge about life and the universe in which we live in, than in all of the other years of our human history combined. And another thing which goes without question, is the fact that we were only able to advance this far, after breaking free from the strangle hold that the church and religion had held on free thought for so many years. Just think of how much further we would have advanced by now, if 3000-4000 years ago, we had started advancing science and technology, instead of creating gods. And what will it take to drag these ignorant and deluded, religious morons into a true post dark-age era – what if we did in fact discover, radio signals or some other form of intelligent communication, beaming from another planet orbiting a distant star somewhere in the universe – would that be enough?

I personally believe that if beings from an advanced civilization, did in fact happen upon us folks living here on earth, that they wouldn’t even attempt to make contact – think about it, how many of us, go out of our way, just to avoid making contact with the religious?

Christian “rock-brain” science – and why my son stopped debating with Christians:

I learned a new term (Christian rock-brain science) last month while watching a video of my son explaining why he no longer debates with Christians on the subjects of science. One of his friends from the university where he currently works, had been in a heated debate with a group young Christians, who had recently received graduate degrees in “creation biology” from a Christian university.

My son’s friend, area of study is in evolutionary biology, and having never been exposed to religious doctrine, and he simply couldn’t understand why these creation biologists, were trying bridge together the science of both cosmology and biological evolution as being the same science (this would be like saying that the same form of science one would use in studying the rings around the planet Saturn, could also be used in the study of plant biology, and the rings in trees here on earth as well).

My son said that he entered this debate, simply out of curiosity, and to help his friend explain to these Christians, the difference in the science of trying to gain insight into how the universe came into being, and the science of how life got started here on earth, and how life has evolved.

To help protect my son’s identity, I will only say that he is currently working with a team of other particle physicists, who just like the tens of thousands of other scientists all around the world, who are currently, or will be analyzing the data from the experiments that are now being conducted at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

My son said that talking science with these “Christian scientists,” was just like trying to explain the fundamentals of science to a group of pre-school children - creation biology, starts with the same premise as that of the creation myth(s) in the bible. That some creator, created the universe, and exclusively for the purpose of creating life here on earth; and therefore that everything perceived within reality, must also be, all part of this same plan. As I watched the video of the highlights of my son’s part in this debate, it quickly became clear that these Christians had no understanding of the difference between scientific theory, and simple mindless conjecture – and they maintained the argument, that the whole vast universe was simply created for mankind to live here on earth. None of them seemed to have any real conception, of just how large the universe actually is, or the fact that it’s still expanding and growing even bigger with every second of every day. And when my son offered the fact that the universe is still expanding, as evidence supporting the fact that the universe started with a big bang – one of the Christians got up and screamed at my son: “you can’t prove any of this,” and as the other Christians wildly applauded this Christians ignorant remark. My son then simply replied: “and I can’t prove anything to a rock either – but the fact is that no one would argue, whether or not a real rock is in fact a real rock, unless they also, have a rock for a brain.” And at that point, this enraged Christian got up and slammed down a pocket sized copy of a bible on the table in front of my son and screamed: “in this bible is the word of god, and that is all of the proof that I will ever need – and you’ll remember my words today, when you’re burning in hell.” At that point after this ignorant outburst, all of the real scientists decided that it was time to end this debate with these ignorant Christian morons.

Later on in this video, my son expressed that he felt extremely sad for these young Christians, as some of them, had wasted up to 4 years of their lives, learning this mindless and worthless bullshit, and now this was the best that they could do, in a debate with real scientists?

I received this video in a large packet of videos and other stuff that our sons had worked on, and put together last summer, as a gift for my fiftieth birthday - and I must say that this is the best birthday gift, that I have ever received!

This was the first time that I have seen my son in a heated debate with deluded and ignorant, Christian idiots and morons, and the first time I noticed, that he does the same thing that I used to do, when I had ignorant Christians spewing their deluded bullshit at me – he just sat there, with a wide grin on his face. Today, if I would have been there in my son’s position, that video would have been filled with words like: “you ignorant Christian motherfuckers” and the debate would have only lasted about 5 minutes, before it had turned into a fucking brawl!

What I still find the most astounding is what Christians and other religious people, simply can’t seem to understand, is the fact that science has long ago dismissed the relevance in which any of these manmade god(s) and creation myth(s), play in the role of life and the universe – man simply created god(s) and all of these silly stories of creation – and science is no longer looking for who created the universe, and if it was created just for us. Today, we are simply trying to gain real insight into how the universe came into being – and as scientists, today we fully understand that whatever or whoever may have started it all, as humans, we are all just along for the ride – and we’re not trying to understand which “god” is in the driver’s seat either, we are simply trying to understand, what’s doing the driving,

My Higher-Power Sheep’s-Ass Strikes Again:

For months now, I have been trying figure out why my higher power stuffed sheep’s-ass has been stuck on fives. The first time that I prayed to my higher-power stuffed sheep’s ass for a new laptop computer, that same day, I won a 500 dollar pull-tab. The next time that I wanted to buy another new computer, I prayed again to my higher-power stuffed sheep’s ass, and within the next few days, I had won two five hundred dollar prizes on one single scratch lottery ticket for a total of 1,000 dollars – then after finding another computer that I wanted to buy, I again prayed to my higher-power sheep’s-ass for the funds to buy the new computer, hell, this time I even told my friends that my higher-power stuffed sheep’s-ass would come through again with the cash for my new computer, and they even laughed at me, and they said that I was the one who was stuck – “stuck on stupid,” then the next day when I won 500 dollars, and used it to pay for my new computer – one of my friends even accused me of being a Satanist, and my other friend simply became a believer that there is power in the sheep’s-ass! But still, I wondered, just why my higher-power stuffed sheep’s-ass, was stuck on fives?

I wondered – if it was because, I had come from a family of five (I had 2 siblings and 2 parents for a total of five). Or the fact that both my best friend and I, both have families of five (we both have 3 boys, and our wives, for a total of five?). Needless to say, this was a troubling mystery for me – then that’s when it hit me – it wasn’t my sheep who was stuck on the fives, it was me – I was only asking my sheep’s-ass for computers and other stuff that cost under five hundred dollars, and if I wanted to win more money, I simply needed to set my sights higher – I was only asking my higher-power stuffed sheep’s-ass for cheep computers and other stuff – it wasn’t my sheep being the tight-ass, it was me being the tight-ass, my higher-power stuffed sheep’s-ass, was simply giving me exactly what I was asking for (cheap shit). So the next day, I prayed to my higher-power stuffed sheep’s ass, and I asked my higher-power sheep’s ass to deal with a problem that I have been dealing with every since 2002, and among the other thing that I prayed to my higher-power sheep’s-ass that day for, were a new Macbook pro computer, a new HDTV, and a new Canon camera just like the one that Baconsbud recently received as a gift. Then this past Monday, I even told some of my friends, that my higher-power stuffed sheep’s-ass, would be buying me a new Macbook computer this week.

My younger friend responded: “all of that stuff that you are saying that your sheep’s-ass is going to buy for you this week, all costs almost 4,000 dollars; and that stupid sheep of yours has about the same chance of coming through with the 4,000 dollars, as I have of riding a flying pig to school this next Monday” (well my little piss-head friend, its Saturday, so you better start looking for a flying-pig, for your trip to school on Monday!). and when I told my other friend – the one who has 3 boys just like me, for a total five members in his family just like me – he responded about the same as my younger friend did – this despite the fact that I had told him, that like I had said in my last post, that I was starting to understand this stuffed sheep’s-ass theist thing, and I was now ready so shoot for 5,000?

This past Thursday started out as sort of a weird day, the night before it had snowed, and it was real cold that day. Both I and my friend were real bored, so we decided to take advantage of the snowy day to work on a project that we had been putting off for months – we took a trip to a nearby town to get parts for the project, and as we were driving into this town, and we approached a cemetery just on the outside of the town, I heard a sheep barking loudly – I heard: “Baaaaa, Baaaaa, Baaaaa.” I then asked my friend if he had heard the sheep bark too – he said that he thought the sound was simply caused by the tires running over the ice and snow – at that point I asked my friend to turn around and go back to where we had first heard the sound. As we headed back, and as we neared the gates to the cemetery again, I heard the sheep start barking again, so I asked my friend to pull the car over and park. I then got out and walked to the gates of the cemetery – and as I stood there, the sheep began barking again; I heard: “ Baaaaa, Baaaaa, Baaaaa” repeated many times, and I lost count at about 12. So I walked back to the car, and we then turned around, and continued into the town, and then picked up our parts. As we were leaving the town, we decided to stop at a store and buy some groceries, and again, just like all of the times before – the wheel on the shopping cart that I was pushing, started spinning around in circles, and making a sound like a sheep barking – I heard: “Baaaaa, Baaaaa, Baaaaa.” I had never even been in this store before, so I asked my friend to stay with our cart and our groceries while I went to see if this store had a lottery vending machine. When I found it, I again heard: “Baaaaa, Baaaaa, Baaaaa.” So just like all of the other times before, I pulled two 20s out of my pocket, and bought two tickets. Then when we returned to the car, my friend said: “OK, you sheep-theist, so let’s see that 5,000 dollar winning ticket that you have been talking about all week now.”

So I scratched the first one, he laughed and said: “you just lost 20 dollars.” So I scratched the second one, and we both discovered that it was a 5,000 dollar winner – my friend then became real quiet, and we didn’t even say one word to each other on the trip back home.

What I have learned is to be careful what I pray for, because my higher-power stuffed sheep’s ass gives me exactly what I pray for, and nothing more – so today, I started praying to my higher-power stuffed sheep’s ass, for a 60 foot yacht, a new house and other stuff – I’ll let you know what happens

My higher-power stuffed sheep’s-ass is still stuck on fives – even the winning number of the prize on the ticket, has a five in it (15).

And to my young friend, who thinks that I am a Satan worshiper, I bought you a new sweater and some other warm clothing (it’s going to be very cold, riding that flying pig to school on Monday!).

My Higher Power Stuffed Sheep’s Ass Moves Again!

I hate to brag, but don’t you just hate it when you hear Christians thanking “Jesus” whenever something in which they perceive as good happens to them – like when they find some money laying on the ground (as if “Jesus” put the money there, and just for them to find it) or you even hear them thanking “Jesus,” when the medicine that they were taking, worked and they thank Jesus, because they feel better? Or they thank “Jesus,” when their child get’s an A in school (I guess that one is probably Ok, if their child is a talking-snake and dirt-man, and rib-woman believer, and they get an A in a real science class - then that would be a fucking miracle!). But when I told my friend 4 days ago, that I was going to buy a new laptop computer, and that I had “prayed” to my higher-power stuffed sheep’s ass, just like the other 2 time when I wanted to buy a computer, but didn’t want to spend my own money for it, that this time, that I knew, that my higher-power sheep’s ass, would come through again with the cash - my friend called the other 2 times that I had won the money for a new computer, just plain good luck; but now, after my sheep’s ass striking three time in a row, he’s even a believer now.

Yes, just like the last time that I won 1, ooo dollars, I was in the same store when the wheel on the shopping cart that I was pushing, started spinning around in circles, and making a sound like a sheep barking – I heard: “Baaaaa, Baaaaa, Baaaaa” again, so this time, I didn’t even hesitate, not even for one second - I simply pulled two 20s out of my wallet, and said out loud (LOL): “in the name of my higher power stuffed sheep’s-ass, I’m going to win money today” and I won 500 dollars, or 460 dollars, minus the 40 that I spent for the tickets. My sheep seems to be stuck on fives – 50-500 dollars, and I have started wondering how I can change that to 5, ooo dollars or even higher – maybe even 5 million or higher?

The reason why I started taking photos of my winning tickets, was because when I would tell some of my friends about me and my sheep, most wouldn’t even believe me – this time, one of my younger friends, accused me of being a Satanist, and he said that my sheep was just my cover for me praying to Satan – I don’t understand him, he’s an atheist?

Can someone be an atheist, and still believe in Satan?

Can we really trust science?

Whenever I hear Christians saying that we should teach children both intelligent design (the creation story in the bible) and evolution, and then simply let them decide which one that they choose to believe, it always takes me back to the day when I first heard the story of “Noah’s Ark” and the “great flood.” I had already learned about the dinosaurs, and how they had gone extinct over 65 million years ago, and yet, this Christian lady was telling me this horror story of how a god had flooded the earth about 4000 years ago, and killed everyone and everything on earth, with the exception of Noah’s family and the pairs of animals on his ark, and how the earth was only about 6000 years old; and just how confused that I became. Later that same day, I asked my dad which of these stories was true; was the earth 6000 years old, or was the earth millions of years old. My dad then took me outside on our front porch, and he then pointed at Mount Rainier, and he asked me if I could see all the snow and ice that was on the top of the mountain – he then told me, that even if there was enough water here on earth to cover the whole planet, and to a depth which would cover the top of Mount Rainier, that the water would have frozen, and today, the earth would simply be a dead ball of ice floating in space, and that the earth was in fact much, much older than a few thousand years.

Today, when you ask most Christians about this silly story; and with the exception of the most profoundly ignorant and deluded, most will say that this story should only be taken in a metaphorical context. So okay, then what about dirt-man and rib-woman, and the 6000 year old earth – should they be simply taken metaphorically as well, and if so, then what is left, (these silly and deluded stories, are the bedrock of 3 religions, including Christianity) isn’t it just time to throw the baby out with the bathwater then?

My point being, we shouldn’t even be teaching children this deluded thrash in church, and least of which in our public schools – there is a big difference in believing something on faith, and believing in something that can be tested and understood. I trust science because I understand science, and believe that the most important thing that we should be doing as atheists, is demanding that science be taught in our public schools with the same intensity as all of the other subjects, and stop entertaining this creation nonsense.

The BBC: Do We Really Need The Moon:

I really liked this program, in part because I can relate to the scientist, who like me has dyslexia and struggled in school, and then found her niche within science and then excelled!

Very few students have the advanced skills that could lead to careers in science and technology, according to results of a national exam released Tuesday that education leaders called alarming.

Only 1 percent of fourth-grade and 12th-grade students, and 2 percent of eighth-graders scored in the highest group on the 2009 National Assessment of Educational Progress, a federal test known as the Nation's Report Card. Less than half were considered proficient, with many more showing minimal science knowledge.

"It's very disappointing for all educators to see students performing below the level we'd like them to be," said Bonnie Embry, an elementary school science lab teacher in Lexington, Ky. "These low scores should send a message to educators across our nation that we're not spending enough time teaching science."

U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan said the results mean students aren't learning at a rate that will maintain the nation's role as an international leader in the sciences. He and others expressed concern that more students aren't prepared for careers as inventors, doctors and engineers in a world increasingly driven by technology.

"Our ability to create the next generation of U.S. leaders in science and technology is seriously in danger," said Alan Friedman, former director of the New York Hall of Science and a member of the board that oversees the test.

The results also show a stark achievement gap, with only 10 percent of black students proficient in science in the fourth grade, compared to 46 percent of whites. At the high school level, results were even more bleak, with 71 percent of black students scoring below the basic knowledge level, and just 4 percent proficient.

Fifty-eight percent of Hispanic 12th-graders scored below basic, as did 21 percent of whites.

"These are really stunning and concerning numbers," said Amy Wilkins, vice president for government affairs and communications at the Education Trust. She noted that minority and low-income students are the fastest growing parts of the youth population, making the need to increase their achievement levels all the more urgent.

This sad and sobering news shouldn’t come as a surprise to any of us – back in the 1970s, when the Republican strategists began looking for new voters to recruit , they discovered that there were a fairly large group of potential voters, who were simply not that interested in the political process – these mostly evangelical and the fundamentalist Christians, who were so consumed with all of their “issues” like the “rapture,” “everlasting life,” “heaven” and “hell’ that they didn’t even concern themselves with such worldly issues as politics. Republican strategists like the great Karl Rove, looked upon these ignorant Christians as the key to gaining control of the White House, and furthering the neoconservative agenda. So they began pandering their support of the issues which they knew these evangelical and fundamentalist Christians were the most concerned about -- like ending abortion, and the institutionalizing of Christian prayer in the public schools, and “returning” the Nation back to its “Christian-roots” - and then they created almost out of thin air, the other issues that they knew would generate fear in the minds of these ignorant and deluded morons as a way of exciting this large group of potential voters – the next step was simply to gain the support of these purveyors of Christian ignorance.

Within the next few years, the fundamentalist Christian preachers had started endorsing the candidates who projected most of their same “values,” and encouraging their ignorant flock to support those candidates as well – hence, the Christian family “values” candidates, and the Christian “value” voters were born (hell, even Pat Robertson, threw his cross into the rink, in a failed attempt at winning the 1988 Republican primary) However, in reality, none of these family values candidates gave a flying fuck about the family; they are only concerned about cutting domestic spending, and cutting the taxes for the rich, and increasing the profits of the big corporations – and the so called Christian value voters, are about as anti-education and anti-science, as the members of The Flat Earth Society are in their resistant to reality and reason – and neither are concerned with the future of our children, or the wellbeing of our nation – and as a consequence of allowing this Christian cult mentality of death, that doesn’t value anything other than dying and going to heaven run ramped for so long, that now, most can’t even conceive of the importance of children learning math and science, and when both math and science conflict with their deluded beliefs.

Our children’s lack of understanding in math and science, are simply a reflection of the things that we deem the most important in our society today - and. the way that we are currently funding our public education systems, are a direct reflection of the value, or lack thereof, that we place on our children’s education. Even as far back as the mid-1980s, I could see where we as a nation were headed, and even back then, I was much, much more afraid of our nation becoming a cesspool of Christian ignorance, than I was afraid of a nuclear war. What I feared the most back then, and what I fear even more today, is us reaching a point in this nation, where the even more ignorant, are simply teaching the young and ignorant, and teaching them just plain ignorance and stupidity – and just like what we see going on in most churches today.

You might agree on just how we got here, but the fact is, we are here – today its math and science, tomorrow it will be history and the arts. I personally believe that there’s no better way of teaching children critical thinking skills, than by teaching them math and science – and I believe that what is currently going on in our public schools, should be declared a crisis – we have declared war on the other issues which we have deemed a crisis, like the war on drugs and the war on crime that we are currently wasting billions of dollars on each year – Let’s end this stupid “war” on drugs, and then use those billions of dollars for declaring a new war on ignorance and stupidity, and then fixing the other social-ills, which lead to drug use and crime in the first fucking place?

Christians, penis-god(s) storks and babies:

Back when I was in my teens, and learning about religion and mythology, I came across the religion of the penis God(s). The religions which are based around the penis deities, are both many in numbers, and worship of the penis gods, are varied from simple rituals, to complex in nature. Almost all of the rituals, involved food offerings and treats, which were usually place at the base of a huge wood or stone penis, or placed in front its balls, (if it has balls I would guess) – some of the penis gods, were as tall as 30 feet in height. In some Asian cultures, it was common for young married couples, to pay the penis-god a visit, on their way home from their wedding - and then pray to this big fucking cock for children (I thought, just how in the hell, would you know, just what in the fuck a huge cock likes to eat?)

Then I was amazed to discover, that even in the 1970s, folks all over the world were still worshiping the penis gods – and in one such village somewhere in Asia, the folks believe that only the penis-god could give a couple a baby. These people lived in the South Pacific, and had been walking around nude or half nude for 1000s of years, and of course having sex and babies; but no one had made the connection between having sex and making babies – they simply believed that feeding and worshiping, a big stone cock was how they gotten their babies – I thought, WTF, even Christians are not that stupid – but, boy was I wrong!

I had a close friend who lived on the other side of town, who had a family of real weird people living next door to him. He said that he had never seen any of the children outside the house before, but he could sometimes hear them screaming in the evenings – so he knew that there were children living in the house, as well as 2 adults. Every morning he would see a man leave the house, and then return in the evenings – he said that the man would be extremely dirty when he returned home, so he thought that the man was going to his job. We would always sit in my friend’s window, and look at this house, and wonder just what might going on over there – was this family like the Adams family on TV – were there blood sucking vampires living in the house (we were both young teens, and both with over active imaginations, I guess).

Then one day my friend calls me on the phone, and tells me that the night before that there was a funeral Hurst parked in front of that house, and they had placed a dead body into the back of the Hurst – he then said that the man had left the house just like he had always done that next morning. About 3 weeks later, my friend and I were sitting in his front yard, when some children came out of the house, then walk a crossed the street , and started talking to us – there were 5 of them, 3 girls and 2 boys, and all between the ages of 14 and 23 – we learned that they were all part of a Mennonite/Pentecostal Christian cult, and that their mom had died, because she had refused to go to the hospital, while she suffered from a long illness – she simply chose to pray to Jesus (this wasn’t exactly what the children had said, but it’s what happened anyway). The children said that they had been home schooled every since birth by their mom – two of them showed us bibles that they had hand copied – their hand writing was incredible, the bibles looked like they had been made on a printing press – and they all could quote bible passages faster than an alley cat could lick its own ass.

Later on in the summer, there was this one girl who was a few years older than me, who lived in that house – who would always come around whenever I was visiting my friend, and I could see that she was hot for me. One day she asked me if she could kiss me, and I said yes, and she started kissing me all over my face. This had gotten me a little excited, and then out of my mouth flew these words, and almost as if I had Turrets Syndrome: “you and I should go and make a baby” i.e.., let’s go and fuck! As she sat there looking at me, a big smile came over her face – and I became even more excited, and hopeful even – at least she hadn’t responded, like most of the other girls that I had used this same line on, had always responded (e.g. “why don’t you just go, and fuck yourself, you little bastard”). Her big smile then turned into laughter, and she said: “I know you’re not that stupid – only God can make babies, and he only gives you one, after you’re married.” As I sat there trying to figure out, just what in the fuck that she was saying, I thought to myself: WTF, she’s almost 17, and she’s still this fucking naïve – I’m going to wax this Christian-ass, before the day is over!

I then told her, that I didn’t really want to make a baby with her – and that I only wanted to have sex with her – she then asked me to explain sex to her. She then said that she would do it, but only after both of us had asked Jesus, and she had prayed about it???

Needless to say, I never got that ass, that day, or any other. I later discovered that she and her siblings were almost never allowed to go outside of their house – their mom had thought that the world was just too evil, and Jesus could only protect them if they stayed at home. I found out that they had never owned a television – and that the only radio they had, that their mom had tuned it to Christian-radio, and then removed the tuning knob.

In hindsight, I believe that they were all suffering from mental illness – even the boys had no conception of human reproduction – one of the boys proclaimed that he wasn’t sure if he was a boy or girl – as god can make you either one that he wants to – I didn’t even ask him to explain!

My Sunday sermon – teaching Christians reality – where do we start?

Dear Christian parents

Do you ever wonder why you never hear of any scientific research tracing the animal migrations after the great flood? Do you ever wonder why you never see any scientific studies analyzing the DNA of the Chiniess people, in attempting to determine which one of Noah’s children that they were the most closely related too – or do you ever wonder which one of Noah’s children that you might even be the most closely related? And if you are a child, do you ever wonder what types of pet dinosaur that your distant relatives, might have played with when they were your age?

If you are a reasonable and intelligent adult, then you already know the answers to the above questions – and if your child is over the age of 9 years old and is still pondering questions about pet dinosaurs, then you are simply raising a little moron – and you are probably proud of it.

When I hear Christians saying that creationism should be taught alongside real science, and then just let the child decide which one to believe, I find at least 2 problems in that kind of thinking, or lack thereof – for one that would not be teaching – why would someone want something taught to children, which has not even one gram of evidence to back it up? The other problem that I have with this asinine and ignorant thinking – as a parent, I spent most of my time teaching our children real science - why should we as atheist parents have to waste valuable time that we could be teaching our children something useful, debunking total bullshit – this is why we don’t let our older children decide if they want to continue to believe in Santa either.

As far as teaching our children bronze aged mythology in the public schools as competing theories with evolutionary theory, and then why just then stop with the Christian-God – why not also teach them about the Egyptian-God(s) as well. Amun the Egyptian God, who created the universe while masturbating, and as he shot-off, and then painted the stars with his ejaculate (talk about a real milky way).

As Christians, you wouldn’t want your children being taught this asinine bullshit as science, and no more than I would want it taught to my children – and I feel the same way about deluded morons wanting to teach my children any other silly myths as well – like the one where your “God,” made the first man from the dirt in a garden, and then made the first woman out of his rib.

Open your eyes Christians, and stop trying to spread your mind-virus – not all of us, take pride in your ignorance – then join the rest of us in reality!

Life the Universe and reality:

This is one of my favorite images taken by the Hubble of columns of old, cool interstellar hydrogen, and other gases, that are giving birth to new stars. The longest being about 4 light years from top to bottom – it is believed that our own sun, and all life here on earth, all got its start in much the way.

By the time that I had first seen this eerie image of a part of the Eagle Nebula, I had already developed an understanding of the process from which all of the elements within the universe were formed – the creation of all the known elements in the universe, began with the fusion of hydrogen within stars. The fact is that everything here on earth, was all manufacture in the birth, life and death of stars – and there is not one single credible scientist who would dispute this fact. Our current understanding of the universe is derived from the countless observations, experimentation and critical thinking; we then develop theories which are based on the most logical explanations of our observations at the time. These theories are then tested and retested, and subjected to even more meticulous observation and experimentation; however, our current scientific methods, are not about proving anything as absolute truth – it’s more about removing information which is absolutely false – science is simply a tool used to help us understand reality.

Our current understanding of the age of the universe dates it at about 14.5 billion years old, and the age of the planet that we live on, at about 4.5 billion years old. And through meticulous observations, and scientific research, we are now developing a greater understanding of how life began here on earth, and how it evolved into what we observe today. Through science, we are now just beginning understand, just how that all of the elements of which comprise all life here on our planet, were all forged over billions and billions of years within stars.

Our current understanding of the information which is absolutely false, are that the earth only being 6,000 – 10,000 years old, and that the universe and humans, along with all of the other plant life and animals here on earth, all magically appeared, and all in their current forms, and all within the first 6 days of “creation.”

I can understand why at a time, when humans had absolutely no real understanding of life and the universe, just why they simply made up stories, in an attempt to explain the things which they had little or no understanding of – today, however, holding on to such stories as absolute truth, simply verges on insanity – and as a parent, I felt no more obligation for allowing our children, to even being exposed to religious insanity, as I felt obligated in allowing them to be exposed to thieves, liars or pedophiles.

I clearly remember the day, when I first seen this image. A long time friend of mine, and a friend of our family (he is also a physicist and an avid astronomer), who was staying in our home while on his vacation. He had brought with him a few gifts for our children, one of which were large posters of this image. Our children then place the posters on their bedroom walls next to their other posters of space images and other stuff – with the exception of our 5 year old son, who was frightened of the poster, he said because he thought that the image on the poster, looked like monsters – our 2 older children simply loved the posters.

Our house guest spent most of the week, talking with me and the children about cosmology and other science. About 3 weeks after our friend’s visit, our oldest son and I, were looking at the poster of this image, and talking about the origins of life here on earth. That day, he told me that he had realized for the first time – that the universe simply was not made just for us, and that we are not at the center of the universe, or even at the center of our own galaxy either – and we exist, simply of a consequence of the universe existing, and not the other way around. And that he believed that everywhere in the universe where life can possibly exist, that it probably does – I thought, not bad for a 14 year old atheist!

Awhile back I wrote a post about my higher-power stuffed sheep, (sheep-us) and how as a joke, how I sometimes pray to my higher-power sheep (my higher power stuffed sheep’s ass) and how I invoke the name of my higher power sheep’s-ass, when I purchase lottery tickets and pull-tabs and the likes. I explained about how my higher-power stuffed sheep’s-ass and I had won a $500 pull-tab at a bar, and about the hot streak that we had with the winning scratch lottery tickets months earlier. Then about 3 months ago, I decided to put my higher power stuffed sheep’s-ass to the test again, after the release of 2 new scratch tickets that I found most interesting. One of the tickets costs 5 dollars, and has an 80,000 dollar top prize, and the other ticket costs 20 dollars, and has a top prize of 1 million dollars, and I decided to start playing the games just for fun.

I have known about the inherent problems associated with gambling every since I was a teenager; and I personally believe, that there are far more people addicted to gambling, than there are people who are addicted to drugs – so back when I was a teenager, I had developed a simple strategy for managing the inherent risks of gambling (quit when I’m still ahead). So I started with 100 dollars, and after I had blessed the money in the name of my higher power stuffed sheep’s-ass, I purchased my first 60 dollars worth of tickets, and I won over 400 dollars - by the end of my first week, me and my higher power sheep’s-ass, had really racked up some big bucks. Our hot streak then continued for about the next 5 weeks, but then it got cold, and I had even resigned to the thought that maybe I had been a little too greedy, and my overworked higher power sheep’s-ass had now disowned me, or my higher power stuffed sheep’s-ass, had died or something.

Still having about 70% of the total prizes that I had won while on our hot streak, I simply decided to quit playing the lottery tickets while I was still ahead, and way ahead!

I hadn’t played the lottery tickets in over 3 weeks; however, I always retain all of the tickets that I buy so I can check them again – having dyslexia, I sometimes over look the winning tickets. Numbers like 32, I will see as 23 and 13 as 31 and so on. Then about a week ago, as I was going through a pile of about 50 tickets looking for winners that I might have overlooked, I found 2 five dollar winners, and 1 fifty dollar winning ticket that I had purchased weeks earlier – as I sat there looking at this big pile of worthless lottery tickets, I cried out loud (LOL): “Oh my higher power stuffed sheep’s-ass, why have thou forsaken me?”

Then about 2 hours later, I had went on a planed shopping trip to the store for food and other stuff – and as I was pushing my shopping cart past the lottery vending machine as I was exiting the store, one of the wheels on the shopping cart, started spinning around in circles, and making a sound like a sheep barking – I heard: “Baaaaa, Baaaaa, Baaaaa” so I stopped pushing the cart, and when I looked to my right, staring me right in my face, was my favorite lottery ticket – so without even a second thought, I pulled two 20s out of my wallet, and said out loud (LOL): “in the name of my higher power stuffed sheep’s-ass, I’m going to win money today.”

I then returned home, and about 2 hours later, I scratched the first ticket (020) and discovered that it was a 50 dollar winner, so I had won 10 dollars – I then looked at my higher power stuffed sheep’s-ass, and said out loud (LOL): “only 10 dollars, you cheap fucking sheep.” Then I scratched the other one (021), and found two 500 dollar winners on that ticket – I then spent the next few hours (LOL), praising and repenting to my sheep -- my higher-power stuffed sheep’s-ass moves in mysterious ways!

With the repeal of “don’t ask don’t tell,” I am hopeful that this will move the LGBT community closer to having the same rights as everyone else; however, I can just hear the religious nuts saying: “the cats are now sleeping with dogs, and now dead fish in the waters, and dead birds are falling out of the sky everywhere - the end times must be near – repent, repent, repent!” LOL While I’ll simply be trying to figure out how to change the blood back into water (I’ll bet there will be a big market for water).

While officials in Arkansas and Louisiana scramble to determined what caused 4,500 red-winged blackbirds, starlings and grackles to fall out of the sky, officials in Sweden announced Wednesday, Jan.5 that about 100 dead birds have been found there.

The birds fell near Falkoping, a city near Skovde.

"We do not know what the cause is," Skovde police commander Tomas Ahlgren said.

While usually not given mention, reports of mass bird deaths are now surfacing and the public is taking notice.

According to the U.S. Geological Service, 90 mass bird deaths have occurred between June and December 2010, including the recent incidents in the United States.

Reports also show that a parasite killed 1,000 birds in Minnesota and Houston, Texas between Sept. 6 and Nov. 26 of last year.

Biologists also do not know why approximately 100,000 drum fish washed up on the Arkansas River this week.

My position on 26, god(s) and reality - and my respect of those who don’t respect me

I have always been a skeptic, even as a young child. When someone would tell me something that just didn’t seem to reside within our everyday realm of reality - I wouldn’t even make snap judgments, I would simply ask them for proof. And even if that person couldn’t provide any evidence at the time for backing up their claims, then I just might have even research the subject myself. However, if I felt that what they were claiming didn’t have any relevance to me anyway, then I would simply dismiss the subject and move on.

But by the time that I was in my 20s, and I had heard so much utter tripe and deluded bullshit, that I had just reach a point in my life, where I just wasn’t even open, to even entertaining any of the extraordinary claims made by others, and of those who presented them to me, and without even one shard of proof. I had already heard most of the cons before, like the “pyramid schemes,” and most of the other kinds of outright fraud. And I often wondered just how anyone could be so gullible, as to fall for any of those old tricks again. I had heard the claims of those pushing the diet pills, and the pills that they claimed, would enlarge the size of a man’s penis – someone can believe as hard as they like, that if they take a pill, which is “only sold on TV,” that it will cause them to drop 60 pounds, and even believe that they will lose the pounds, while they simply sit on their big fat ass, and eat and watch TV, or that if they believe, that by simply taking a pill, that it will add inches to the size of their penis – just because they believe that it will happen, simply isn’t going to make it happen - that is simply ignorant and deluded. They have simply bought into a world of magic realism. One can buy into the world of magical thinking and believing if they choose, and follow on blind faith anything that they like – but don’t even ask me, for my respect of your silly and deluded childlike beliefs - - as my intellect simply prevents me from feeding your delusion.

When Christians and other religious people, start telling me that I should respect their beliefs, and that I should respect their beliefs, simply because that’s what they have chosen to believe; I ask myself, why should I respect a belief, which is based on nothing more than magical realism, (simply pretending that something is real, doesn’t make it real) why should I have any respect for anything of which there is absolutely no evidence, that can even begin to provide any essence of truth whatsoever – when in reality, what they’re really asking me for, is my accepting, and then submitting to their deluded and ignorant worldview – there is a big difference between having respect for a person, and having respect for what they just happen to believe in – and anyone who demands that I respect something that they believe, and simply because they believe it, then I simply can’t have any respect for that person either. And what this all really comes down to, is I’m not going to change my worldview, just so I can garner respect for the delusion of yours - when in reality, you have absolutely no respect for my worldview at all, and you even believe that mine is evil – so in the end, I will simply choose to keep my intellect, and you can take your faith, and then shove it where the sun doesn’t shine!

Life and the Universe – the never ending story?

When Christians start asking me, if I don’t believe in Jesus and heaven, then just what do I live for? I start thinking about the day in early May, when I told our 4 year old son, that we would be taking him and his brothers on a trip to Disney land in about a month in the second week in June – he had become so excited over this trip, that he could hardly even contain himself – he awoke the next morning, and asked me if we were going to Disney land today, and I told him not today, and it was not even June yet – then after almost a week of him asking me this same question every day, I finally told him that if he didn’t start being a good boy, and if he didn’t stop asking me this same question every day, that he just might not be going to Disney Land ever – from that day forward, he was on his best behavior, and he never asked me that question again either – he then simply started asking his mom, who then placed a calendar on the wall in his bedroom, and then she started marking off the days until our trip – I thought to myself, why in the hell, couldn’t I have simply thought of doing that myself? And no, I wasn’t being mean to our son.

I believe that it’s always nice; to have something happening to look forward to, but just as long as that something, is in fact real. When Christians ask me (what I perceive as a very hateful question) why if I don’t believe in Jesus and heaven, then just what do I look forward to doing after I die – I then often ask them, if they believe that they’re going to heaven, when they die, and if that’s all that they live for, then why in the hell, don’t they just pick up a gun, and then simply expedite their journey , and I tell them, that I don’t even believe, that Jesus would even mind at all, if they did. Most devout Christian, have about the same level of understanding reality, as most 4 year old children have – Christians await the day, when a loud trumpet will sound, and a supersized Jesus descends from the clouds, and with a big gold sword sticking out of his mouth – and they just can’t seem to understand, just how anyone without something like that to look forward to, could possibly live a happy life at all. Most of the atheists who I know, do in fact live extremely happy lives, simply living within the constructs of reality, and by making the best out of the only life that we know – but, what if this just wasn’t, the only life that we have to live – what if we did in fact discover, that we will all be back someday, and would this change the way we all look at life today?

So just what in the hell am I talking about? Years ago, my physics professor explained a mathematical theory of the cosmos to me, one which is based on a model of the universe that postulates, that the universe is only, in its true natural state, when it’s in the complete state of zero energy, and that the state of zero energy, is the only primacy for its existence – we are all currently, simply living in one of its infinite cyclic states, between our current state of energy, and the natural state of zero energy – and the universe is forever locked into these cycles. In short; the current state of our universe, is not the reason for why it exsist, and therefore, there is no first cause – the universe exists, simply because it does. What this says in effect, is that at a fixed point, sometime in the future, that all of the matter in the universe, will return to the natural state of zero energy, (where it is most happy) and then sometime after that, the opposite of the big bang will occur (all of the particles, of which comprised the former universe, will then coalesce and create the next singularity, and then, bang again – and the universe is off and running again – after which, all of the stars will form again, including our own sun and solar system, and our planet earth). Then, about a billion years after the earth has formed again, the same minor planet will collide with the earth again, and then form our moon again – and then in about 3 billion years after that, you’ll be back here reading this post again as well. And the real crazy things about this theory are, that even if this theory was in fact reality, and you knew it, you still wouldn’t be able to change one single thing in life from one cycle to the next – and even if we did discover that this theory was true, this same discovery would have had to happened in every other cycle also, including the next ones to come.

As I was watching this video, I really started to understand, for the first time just why our children just love the secular Europe countries, where they have lived and went to school. In this video, a large racially diverse group of young children and young adults, simply came together and did something real cool. Then after they finish singing and some of them are being interviewed, of sorts – you find something missing – where is all of the christ-speak - and thanking “jesus,” and praising the “lord”?

These deluded Christian idiots and morons here in the states, can’t even play a football game without bringing all of their deluded Christian-bullshit to the game, and some even have to paint bible bullshit on their face – they thank their “lord” when they make a touchdown, or when they win the game, but where was they fucking “lord,” when the 1000s of poor children died while they played their fucking game?

I simply love this video – you see so much pride and joy on the faces of these children and young adults, and my hats off big-time to the Director!!!

My Christian friend is becoming rational – praise the “lord”

I recently called a longtime christian friend, to wish him and his wife a happy holiday. His 2 children are both about the same ages as ours, and they played and all grew up together. I’ve known this guy and his wife for almost 25 years; back when I first met this guy, and after him and his wife, had gotten over the shock, that they were living next door to a family of atheists, (we were the first atheists, that they had ever met) we all became good friends. He became the kind of friend that you talk shit with when you guys were alone with each other – the kind of friend that when he see’s you working around house, or fixing something, he always has to put in his two cents worth – he always has a better way of doing things; and the kind of friend that if you overheard us talking to each other in a hardware store, you might not think that we were friends at all.

In the summer, we would load up the children, camping gear and the ATV’s, and then convoy to the Ocean together – both of our families were very close, and we had a lot of fun together – but then came all of the invites to attend church with them, and all of the proselytizing. Both he and I were making a hell of a lot of money back then, and despite the fact that I was out of town a lot of the time, him and his wife believed that we were excellent parents, and had great children, and that the only other thing that we needed, was “jesus” in our lives. This guy and his wife were also real close friends with their preacher and his wife, at the church where they attended. There were times when his proselytizing would put a great strain on our friendship, and I would unload on his ass about his deluded belief in a ghost raped, little virgin-born bastard-savior, named “jesus” – I never attacked him personally, but to him, attacking his fucking “lord,” was the same as attacking him – his wife would always say: “he’ll come around to jesus.”

The last two times that I had talked to this guy, I didn’t even notice that he didn’t come at me with his christ-speak and deluded christian-talk – so I asked him: “you’re not trying to save my heathen soul anymore, you fucking asshole - so what gives here?” he then told me, that after their children had dropped by the house on their mom’s birthday, and both of them were proclaiming that they were now agnostics, and parroting a lot of the stuff that I used to say (I never talked to his children about their beliefs) he and his wife started thinking about what they believed in as well. He told me that neither he nor his wife, still believes in all of that made up bullshit in the bible, like the talking-snake, and the virgin-birth of jesus, and all of the other magic and bullshit about christ’s life and death – he said that today, he can’t understand just how he ever believed, that all of that bullshit was true; however, he said that both him and his wife, still consider themselves christians. He said that they now only follow, the christian teachings – like do unto others, help the poor and other stuff like that… he even apologized to me, for all of his past proselytizing.

I didn’t even know what to say at that point; I thought that I should have felt something, or even started gloating, and talking shit or something – but the only thing that I said was again, enjoy the holidays – he then invited me and my family to his home for a New Years Eve party.

I’ve never been religious – even as a young child, I found the story of christ simply ridiculous – the ghost raping the little girl, all of the fucking magic – walking on water, turning water into wine, raising the dead – a dead for 3 days, stinking and rotting corpse arose, and then walking among the living – and simply believe all of this silly and mindless bullshit, and you’ll live forever somewhere in the fucking sky. So I just can’t get a grasp on what this guy and his wife are going through. And can someone still be a “christian,” without believing all of the supernatural bullshit? Or is this just the path that some christians take to avoid the atheist stigma? What do you think about this?

I started following the story about the nativity scene, and the sign placed next to it by the Freedom From Religion Foundation in the Mississippi State Capitol that Vjack had posted about today over at Atheist Revolution. Then as I was following the links to the story, I started reading some of the comments left by readers at WLBT3 news in Jackson MS. There is absolutely, not anything in which those who carry the Christian mind-virus can say or do, that surprises me anymore; I believe that we all have heard most of their deluded nonsense many times before – but still, I just find the level of willful ignorance in Christians, just astounding.

I have struggled for years, while trying to understand just why Christians are so obsessed with this paranoid notion of the end times, and why they look forward to the total destruction of the earth and mankind as we know it, and with such joy and glee. I was only a young child the first time when I heard one of these deluded and psychotic Christian morons, preaching that jesus will return on a date that he was given in some kind of dream or prophetic vision, and he would only reveal the date of jesus’ return, to those who sold everything that they owned, then gave him the money, so that he could build an underground bunker, somewhere in the side of a mountain, where they would all be safe from the earthquakes and the 900 foot tidal waves which would precede jesus’ second coming – I don’t know just how many of the people he had convinced of this total bullshit that night, although he had been traveling all around the country, and he had been preaching this bullshit in rented halls and churches for at least a few months, and he had quite a large following by the time he had made it to Seattle.

OMAHA, Neb. -- A Christian group is proclaiming Jesus' return in billboards going up in Omaha and other U.S. cities for the holiday season.

Allison Warden, of We Can Know, says an analysis of Scripture shows Jesus will come on May 21. She says the billboards showing three wise men following the star of Bethlehem are meant to spur the public's interest in the Bible, not frighten anyone.

Warden says the billboards have gone up in Omaha and Nashville, Tenn. She says they're also going up in Atlanta, Bridgeport, Conn.; Detroit; Fort Wayne, Ind.; Kansas City, Mo.; Little Rock, Ark.; Louisville, Ky.; and St. Louis. They'll be up for December.

This latest of Christian ignorance and delusion, took me back to the time when a local preacher had told his ignorant flock, that jesus would be returning that year, and on July 2ed – most of the little christ-tards that I knew back then, who were around my same age, (about 13 years of age, or so) were asking me if I was going to repent and accept jesus now that it was certain (per the word of this deluded-preacher) that jesus was coming back on the 2ed of July, and they told me if I didn’t repent and accept jesus, that I would burn in hell forever – I simply told them that the only thing that I would be burning that week in July would be fireworks – they all got mad as hell. They even said things like: “I hope the devil burns you real-good, and that you suffer more pain in hell, than the pain of all the other heathens combined.” – don’t you just love Christians?

It almost seems like it was just yesterday, that Fox “News,” Bill O’reilly was crying and having a hissy-fit back in 2008, over the atheist display inside the Washington State Capital building. Alongside the holiday trees, Christmas trees, a Jewish menorah and a few others, was this display sponsored by The Freedom From Religion Foundation – a placard which simply read:

"At this season of the Winter Solstice may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds."

The Christians called foul over the Governor, also allowing the atheist display, along with the Christian nativity scene, and the little “baby jesus” in the manger. The Christians cried persecution, and that the atheist sign was just another attack in the war on Christmas and Christians – some were even calling for the Governor’s (Christine Gregoire) head on a plate.

Holiday displays, which have including, displays of Santa and reindeer, are nothing new insofar as the types of stuff that has been allowed to be put on display, both inside and outside of the State Capital building. As far back as I can remember there were trees, Santa, snowmen and other types of holiday displays. Then in 2006 after a Christian (Ron Wesselius) sued the state after his request to display a nativity scene, including the little “virgin-born,” bastard “jesus” inside the Capital building was denied, the state then caved into this blatant violation of the separation between church and state, and as part of this legal settlement, then agreed to set aside certain areas within the Capital building for all types of holiday displays, including the religious ones.

But that policy produced a cacophony of displays in 2008. There was a placard from atheists mocking religion as myth and superstition, placards from religious groups poking fun at atheists, a large electric-lighted menorah and requests to put up a “Festivus pole” in honor of the mock holiday popularized by the “Seinfeld” sitcom. The controversial anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas also sought a display that said Santa would take people to hell, and another group critical of creationism wanted to depict a “Flying Spaghetti Monster” as the creator of the world.

The flood of requests prompted General Administration to declare a midholiday moratorium on displays in 2008. A policy was approved in 2009 that restricted private displays to the outdoors. The only displays that went up last year were a lighted menorah and a placard from Seattle atheists, both put up near the Tivoli fountain on the Capitol lawn; a menorah also was displayed briefly at Sylvester Park.

I believed at the time that the decision was made, in allowing this icon of delusion to be displayed inside the State Capitol building, it was a really bad idea to say the least, and a bad idea that would open up the floodgates for every other cult in the state, who wanted to convey any kind of religious messaged in a public forum.

Then after months of hearing local Christians complaining, and crying persecution over the State’s moratorium on restricting all private displays to the outdoors; I thought that this would put an end to this controversy once and for all. Then the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights president William Donohue sent a letter Oct. 27 to Gregoire announcing that he was sending a one-piece Nativity scene to her chief of staff; the State officials then flat out rejected the informal request to display it indoors, citing a policy that no longer allows nongovernment displays inside Capitol Campus buildings:

“Private exhibits and displays, such as a Nativity scene, are permitted only outside on the campus grounds, provided they meet certain conditions regarding time, place and manner,” Department of General Administration director Joyce Turner said in a letter this week to the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights in New York City.

I am fairly confident both that Washington State’s Governor will not be making any new compromises on the state’s policy of restricting all private displays to the outdoors, and confident that those who carry this mind-virus, and who have little respect for the rights of others, won’t be going away anytime soon either. Personally, I’d like to see this moratorium extended to ban all religious icons from being displayed anywhere on government property – I personally find it sad, that in the year 2010, we still have silly and ignorant people believing that a cosmic ghost fathered a baby, who was born of a virgin; when in fact, this whole silly story of Christmas and “jesus,” were both stolen from the many Pagan stories in which the sun-god, dies on the cross (in the constellation of the Cruz) on December 21, remains dead for 3 days, (pauses in the sky for 3 days) and then on December 25, starts its way back north, eventually bringing Spring, longer days, and new life (yes, the sun is the truth, the way and the light - and the giver of all life on this planet).

My dog from “hell”

I have known for several months now that our children had purchased a Basset Hound puppy for their mom; however, I only found out why they had given her the puppy a few days ago. Years ago, I bought her a Jack Russell Terrier pup. When she had seen this pup in the pet store, and she simply fell in love with this dog. So I paid for him, and we took him home. For the first few days, he wouldn’t even get out of his box, other than to use the news paper to do his thing (I thought, what a smart dog, he’s already well on his way to being house trained). He cried for almost a week, I guessed that he missed his brothers and sisters back at the pet store. At first this dog was very antisocial to say the least – then one night he walked into the living room, went over to our son, wagging his tail, and acting like that they were long lost friends, who hadn’t seen each other in years. Our son, ten years old at the time, instantly falling in love with this cute little pup (I guess it was all of the doggie kisses).

This dog didn’t even have to be house trained; he would just go to the door and bark when he needed to go. I noticed that this dog had began developing a different manor of behavior with all of us, he knew which one of our children was the most likely to play fetch the ball with him, and which one was likely to give him a treat – I had a few lap-dogs in the past; however, none of them demanded all of the attention that this dog was demanding.

Then at about 10 months of age, this dog went nuts. Whenever we we’re all at home together, this dog became the center of attention – this was the most hyper dog that I had ever seen; and he always had something to bark about – our children found this cute at first, but it soon got old. When the kids left home for school, he would stand at the window next to door, jump into the air and bark. He would do this most of the day until the children returned home, then the first thing that he would do was come running with his ball- he would even nip at them to get their attention – this dog simply loved to play – he had went from being a family dog, to a dog simply having a family to terrorize. As he got older, he began to mellow out somewhat as well – at about age 7, he was only about half as bad.

When our children had told me that they were getting their mom another Jack Russell pup; I told them that I didn’t believe that their mom would be very happy about that. So we start talking about other kinds of lap-dog breeds – I told them about a friend’s beagles and how nutty that they were, and about my friends basset hound and how she’s the coolest house dog that I have ever met; so they decided on a Basset Hound pup – she instantly fell in love with her new pup

Then a few days ago, my son who lives part of the year out of the country, in an apartment that he shares with his brother, told me that their mom had started coming over to visit them. Sometimes spending at least a week out of every month – she thought that they were getting to thin, so she started cooking and cleaning for them, my son said, this was very embarrassing when his girlfriend would come over, and his mom would be folding his underwear - he said his mom was ruining his sex life as well – so they got her the puppy in hopes that she might just get the message, that their not ten anymore - I just thought that this was kind of funny.

The fall of the middle class and the corporate takeover of our democracy:

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about an argument that I had over the Vietnam War with a Christian friend of mine back in the mid 1980s. At the core of this argument, was whether or not the military arms manufactures, and the military contractors, were in fact highly influential in the decisions that our government made early on in this conflict, and in the subsequent escalation of the war - and if the real reasons for our involvement in this conflict, were primarily about military contracts and profit making (war profiteering).

Our debate centered on whether or not our government would lead us into a war, and would allow US citizens to be placed in harm’s way, based on nothing more than a lie. My friend found the idea so appalling that our democracy could be hijacked in such a way that tens of thousands of our citizens had died, simply so the big corporations could rape our nation, and raid our tax dollars. He said that our government could never be that evil, not in a million years. I contended that these were in fact the reasons for our involvement in the war; and that the main reasons why we were not still fighting this pointless conflict, was because of the strong middleclass that we had at the time – and that was now the main reasons that the puppet masters of his hero (Ronald Reagan) had now shifted their war efforts on the middleclass.

In the times when we have had a strong middleclass, our leaders were directed and driven by the will of the electorate, and not by the interests of the big corporations. Back in the 1970s, the wages were good, and the cost of living was fairly low, and our citizens had more time for both leisure and to express their dissatisfaction with the direction that the nation was headed back then. I argued that if it had not been for the involvement of the hordes of middleclass, who were defiantly protesting this unjust war, and demanding the withdrawal of our military personal; that this conflict would have never ended.

I never could get my Christian friend to understand back then, the direction that our nation was headed; he was only concerned with the shortsighted rightwing agendas like ending abortion and becoming a Christian nation. I argued that these religious issues were simply being used as a ploy by those with their sights set on a complete corporate government takeover, and in doing this, by undermining the middleclass – I argued that if the ignorant Christian-sheep in this nation, didn’t open up their eyes and start seeing just where they were being lead and why, that someday they would wake-up, and everything about this nation which makes this nation the greatest nation on this planet, would all be gone, and gone along with their freedoms and their jobs, and the only thing that we would be producing as a nation, would be wars – and without a strong middleclass, and the checks and balance – we would all find ourselves at the will of the big corporations and their elected cronies.

For years, I pleaded with this moron to open up his eyes, and stop subscribing to the pipedream of a Christian nation that his rightwing heroes were playing to him – I told him, that as these evil motherfuckers came closer to archiving their goals, that they’ll orphan all of your silly Christian asses as well.

Today this guy is homeless – years ago, before he lost his job, his preacher convinced him to refinance his moorage, and pull out the equity, and then donate it to the church – he then lost his home to foreclosure – this was the same preacher who convinced him to vote for Ronald Reagan – he now blames Obama for all of his troubles.

You may not agree with my opinions, about how and why we arrived at where we are today – but the fact is, we’re here. And are we now past the point of no return. And is the split that we are now seeing within the Republican Party over the Tea Party, simply caused by the fact that our democracy is now just for sale to the highest bidder, and for sale, indifferent to which party that they choose to deal with – have the big corporations simply orphaned their base?

You won't find her mentioned on the D.C. Republican website, but activist Missy Reilly Smith constitutes a kind of one-woman "tea party" movement in the liberal bastion that is the nation's capital.

The staunch pro-lifer, running a long-shot campaign against longtime Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, a Democrat, is trying to wake up the city's lethargic GOP and push the abortion issue to the front of the party's agenda with new, graphic ads airing this week.

The D.C. Republican Party does not support Mrs. Smith's campaign, and local party leaders asked her not to run. In an interview, she said they told her, "You never will be able to win."

Mrs. Smith, who worked in real estate sales and ran an anti-abortion advocacy group, is challenging a popular liberal incumbent who has defeated all comers since 1990. In 2008, for example, Mrs. Norton faced no Republican challenger and won more than 92 percent of the vote in the general election.

Mrs. Smith acknowledged a steep uphill climb, with only an estimated 30,000 registered Republicans in the city versus more than 336,000 registered Democrats. But she said the District's Republicans "blew me off" because of her conservative platform, not the voter registration numbers.

Mrs. Smith said her critics have miscast her as a one-issue candidate because of her uncompromising stands against abortion, which she called "murder," and homosexuality, which she called an "abomination." Fellow Republicans are simply refusing to pay heed to America's Judeo-Christian morals and "Republican principles," she said.

She said that they told her that she was not killing a baby; (and I agree that she was not killing a baby) however, how can anyone be that naïve and ignorant, she must have not wanted to have a child at the time, and then she sought to have the abortions – so just what in the fuck did she think that she was carrying around in her gut?

Yes, if you kill your fetus, you won’t have a baby, but isn’t that the point of having an abortion in the first place. Now this guilt riddled crazy bitch, wants to take away the rights of every other women to make the same choice that she made – I’d say it would be a safe bet that most other woman who seek an abortion, know that they’re killing the fetus in their gut. This woman is a shining example of the need for children to have comprehensive sex-education at a young age in our public schools. I’ve met Christians who even in their 20’s still didn’t know where babies come from.

An open letter to my Christian friend:

I had one of the weirdest things happen the other day, I had this Christian get in my face and start telling me just how wrong I am about religion, including “jesus.” I don’t remember even talking with this guy before, other than maybe saying hello, or something like that. He told me that I need to stop saying things like: “a ghost raped a girl and made jesus.” He also told me that I better start reading the bible before its too late. He went on and on – about the time when I was about to give this Christian a real piece of my mind, I realized that he must have been reading my blog – I only talk about religious issues with my atheist friends.

So look here Christian, you don’t know anything about me. First, I have written hundreds of stories and posted them on my WEB site back in the 90s, and back then, I used to get more shit from atheists, than I would get from Christians, and over my defense of people’s rights to practice whatever religion that they choose - as a progressive and an atheist, if your religious rights and freedoms come under attack, I’ll be right there with you in the trenches, and fighting with you, not against you. And you wrongly stated that I hate Christians, I don’t! My attitude about what I write, did in fact change after I was in a situation back in 2002 – I was in a drug treatment program, and trying to get my life back on track; while an ignorant fucking Christian moron, was trying to convert me to Christianity, so he could then claim me, as some kind of fucking prize – and after I had exposed what had happened to me, these ignorant fucking morons went on a campaign of hate against me and my friends. These sick fucking morons, were trying to destroy me, and my family, and as a consequence, I still haven’t moved back home with my family; I thought it would be better that I limit the time that I spent with my family, rather than to bring this bullshit home to them – if this had happened to you Mr. Christian, you would be a little pissed off too.

I started blogging as a way to help me recover from all the persecution from these ignorant fucking Christians, and to help me recover my writing skills - and I lost them, along with most of my other memories back in 2000 – today I believe my memory, is about 80% recovered, and I am reading and writing at about 65% of where I was back in the 1990s – so I would guess that it’s working. And Mr. Christian, if you want to know the truth about all of the fucking lies that those ignorant folks have told you about me, simply ask me.

And no, I’m not going to “tone down” the way I write, if you don’t like what you read here, no one’s asking you to come here in the first place – and talk to me yourself, and stop believing all that stuff that my ignorant Christian fan-club is telling you, (pack of fucking liars) and come back and talk to me, my friend.

My confusion over the proper way of eating jesus:

I had been hearing about this religious knowledge test conducted by PEW for at least two weeks now. The results simply confirmed what I have always known – Christians and most other religious people, don’t know jack-shit about religion, including their own. Most have never even read their own “holy-books,” or have done any type of real research. As someone who has read the bible from cover to cover at least twice, and studied religion and mythology for about 5 years in my teens, I have always wondered just how any half-way intelligent person could read the whole bible, and still walk away believing such utter nonsense. The story of Christ is simply stolen from the stories of the dozens of other solar messiah’s, and all of which, predate Christianity, and some by 1000’s of years. I thought, why should I even waste my time with this test, I thought that I would just ace the test anyway - so why even bother looking for the URL.

Then I was over at Krissthesexyatheist’s blog, and I found the first working link – so before reading his post any further, I clicked on the link. I started taking the test; there are 15 questions, and as I was answering the last one, I realized that I had fucked up on 14. “Which of these religions aims at nirvana, the state of being free from suffering?” well I can blame that one on my dyslexia – I knew the answer was Buddhism; however, I had clicked on Hinduism, I thought, what the hell, I’ll still get 14 out of 15 right anyway. Then the next page which gives you, your score read: “You answered 13 out of 15 questions correctly
for a score of 87%.”

I thought, WTF, I missed 6 too? 6. “Which of the following best describes the Catholic teaching about the bread and wine used for Communion?” I thought, how in the hell did I get that one wrong; I have always thought that eating and drinking zombie-jesus, was just a symbolic ritual derived from the “last supper” story. So I had given this answer: “The bread and wine are symbols of the body and blood of Jesus Christ.” – Wrong answer? WTF – the correct answer is: “The bread and wine actually become the body and blood of Jesus Christ.” I thought to myself: and all of this time that I have been thinking that they were just symbolically eating on jesus, and drinking his blood – when in fact, these sick and deluded folks have actually been gorging themselves on this dead-zombie-jesus – what a sick fucking lot of vampires and fucking cannibals. I have always known that the Catholics loved themselves some jesus; but I never even thought that they were this fucking sick – I guess as long as we don’t close our minds, we can learn something new every day?

I get a kick, every time I read this sign; this sign has been on the wall of Ivar’s fish-bar, ever since that I can remember. When I was about 10 years of age, I ask a lady who was working at the bar just why the 3 cup limit. She said: “it makes guys horny, you guys should try some.” In hindsight, I wonder just what was wrong with her – we were only 10 at the time?

I really don’t know why people believe such silly nonsense, but some folks do in fact believe that this stuff improves sex; and they sell gallons of the stuff.

If you love eating fish, and you are in Seattle, this place is a must visit. The fish is simply the best!

Meet my higher-power stuffed sheep.

Meet my higher-power stuffed-sheep’s ass.

Okay, I’m not a stuffed-sheep theist per se, nor do I worship a stuffed sheep’s-ass, so let me explain – about 3 years ago, after a night of binge-drinking (two bottles of cheep cabernet sauvignon) the next morning, I went to a Safeway store to get some food for breakfast. This was just one of those mornings, when I just couldn’t decide, just what I wanted to eat for breakfast – bacon and eggs? Or some veggies and fruit -- I just couldn’t decide; so I just bought both – and somewhere in that drunken haze, I had placed this stuffed sheep in my shopping-cart, along with two more bottles of cabernet.

When I returned home, I simply decided to drink my breakfast, and then I guess passed out. I awoke to find this sheep looking at me, and with those cold black eyes, which seemed to follow me all over the room. This gave me one hell of a fright. I didn’t even remember buying the stupid thing. I found this sheep so menacing, that I shoved him head first into a shelf – and that’s when it hit me – he can be my higher-power sheep, and remind me, not to drink so much. As a joke, I thought, people pray to “jesus,“ that’s about the same as praying to a stuffed sheep’s-ass – so I named him sheep-us. I started praying to sheep-us (my higher-power stuffed sheep’s-ass) for all kinds of things. When I would pull some money out of my pocket, and buy lottery tickets, I would say: “in the name of sheep’s-ass, I going to win some money,” and I would win – me and my sheep’s-ass, had a real hot streak going on for awhile.

Then awhile back, I was eating dinner at a bar, and there was a guy sitting at the bar playing the pull-tabs. This guy must have had about 300 dollars worth of them in front of him – he was trying to win a 500 dollar one, there was only one of them in the bin. I pulled out a 10, and said: “in the name of my higher-power stuffed sheep’s-ass, I’m going to win that 500 dollar pull-tab.” I opened the first one, it was one dollar, the next one was nothing, and the next one had 500 with a line though it. I set it back in the basket, and picked up my sandwich again, and went back to eating. This guy must have read my face or something; he looked at me and said: “you son of a bitch, you have it, don’t you.” At that point I said out loud: “praise the Lard, and pass the tequila” – boy was that guy pissed. I won over 800 dollars that night, and the next day, I bought myself a new laptop computer.

Now, I know that my sheep had little to do with the fact that I won. But if that had been a Christian, and said: “in the name of jesus,“and then won that 500 dollars, there would be no way of convincing them otherwise.
